Dont buy a P815 or P817, they break down often. One of the customer service reps reported to me that the P817 model breaks down the most. If your monitor breaks, they probably wont be able to replace it for months.

Viewsonic is all out of 21 inch monitors due to a shortage in supplys. How long have they not had even 1 21 inch monitor at their plant in Walnut? Over a month now. Why dont they have any in stock? I think it is because they break down so much. A few of the people who work there will claim that they do actually break often. Others will deny it.

Viewsonic has very poor solutions to their problems. Their customer service hardly ever call you back when they say they will. Their main solution is to wait wait wait wait. They are not open minded to other solutions and blow you off.

In Mid September, the newer monitor broke. It was the exact same thing, (no picture except for a white vertical bar of light on the screen). The guy in the warehouse told me that it was a common problem and he sees it get fixed all the time. Common? Maybe there is a flaw in these monitors. I was told if I brought my monitor in, I would promptly get a replacement. I took a day off of work and went in. To my surprise, they didnt have any P815's or P817's at all in stock. They said they would send me a new monitor in a few days when they get them in stock.
