Purchased this monitor from PC World, it cost me £150, which was a bargain indeed, its super powerful performance and video response of 2ms, puts it top of the chain, with many added features such as 1680 x 1050 HD Resolution and 3000:1 dynamic contrast ration.
The monitor itself is a slim stylish bezel design without taking up valuable desk space... The high neck and floating head design accentuate the visual experience, although you can also but a wall of desk ark to completely
remove the monitor from the desk fact. The design gets a 10/10.
Another bonus to this monitor is that it is Windows Vista Verified, and has many security features such as, the Kensington Security port, which deters theft, and prevents your settings from been altered, very useful, if you have a family with touchy fingers.
Setting up the monitor was a breeze, the onscreen menu, is a simple tool, and very user friendly, at first though I found the set up buttons on the monitor itself was a little confusing, but after a few goes you can easily get the hang of them. Buttons get a 7/10.
I use many graphic software tools, and pantone colours are clearly visible as per the final print page, on a standard monitor you get a colour differentiation from the final print, but this monitor displays an almost identical copy on the screen, High Definition really makes a difference to your documents and been widescreen also enable you to put two documents on the screen, side by side. So the colour aspect gets a 9/10.
One of the biggest uses of computers is gaming, this monitor has a video response time of 2ms, basically this is the time it takes each frame to work, I played a game called Halo, which needs fast rendering in order for full enjoyment and this monitor did not let me down, the refresh rate was incredible, the graphics themselves were, out of this world, Halo is a bit of a gore game and the detail and colours, were just simply almost realistic like, and has put all my other monitor purchases to shame. Graphics and rendering get a 10/10.
I have listed below some of the technical features, so you don't have to search, these are, which I feel most important, you don't have to read further, these are just for reference only. I have had a few of view sonic products and this has to be far the best, I would defiantly recommend purchase, overall the ease of use, the graphics and the colours, not mentioning the use of links to your TV and video etc...
View sonic have won many awards for excellence, and this monitor perceives there competence, confidence and design elegance.
This gets a 10 / 10 Guaranteed.
Thanks for reading :-)
