After previously having a Viewsonic VX912 with a somewhat lacking 24ms response time or something quite ridiculous when compared to this new piece of kit, and an old pc, it was time for me to upgrade to the new VX922.
At first glance i have to admit, i was wondering what I was paying for. It looked exactly the same as the last monitor I had, but then again the looks of it are not to be worried about. It looks sleek and I personally think it has a lot of style when compared to other monitors on the market.
So I proceeded to plug it in, with the choice of either VGA or DVI, which both can be nicely tucked away with the power cable behind a protective cover thats removable from the back.
So far everything was going well and a look at the instruction manual told me everything I needed to know. It even comes with its own driver installation and monitor callibration CD to help you along if you need it.
When I got it running it was excellent. Sharp, crisp and clean picture. Games such as Age of Empires 3, Need for Speed Underground 2 and Far Cry Instincts run without hessitation. This is definitely one for the gamers.
Overall I would recommend this monitor to anyone, but you do have to pay for that extra 2ms response time. If you aren't quite prepared for that, take a look at the VX924 which offers a 3ms response time for a slightly less price.
