** BEHIND THE SALES PATTER **
-----------------------------------------------
I brought this TV around 6 months ago from Currys for £270 to go into my bedroom. I wanted a good Hi-Definition TV which wouldn't break the bank to get and that looked stylish. After seeing a few TVs in this price range, it became clear to me that the picture on this TV was crisper and clearer than any I had seen before. That and the numerous connections you get with the Viewsonic, I brought it straight away. It's a nice looking TV and when it's turned on there's a nice blue light that appears between the speakers, below the screen. This does not affect your viewing pleasure even in the dark.

This TV allows multiple connections from a PC, which allows this TV to act as a monitor, to HDMI for Hi-Definition picture content. I hooked up my cable box using a scart lead. The Viewsonic only has one scart connection. This however is not a problem for me as I can still plug my freeview box into the aerial connection. This still leaves you with an HDMI and component and composite connections.

Switching between each connection is straight forward, all you need to do is press the 'Source' button on the remote and a drop down list appears of all the possible connections that are available for the TV. You then choose the connection that is hooked up to the device you wants, so if I wanted scart, I would choose scart and hit 'OK'. If however I wanted 'TV' I would choose 'TV' and hit 'OK'.

Here are all the connectivity types you can choose from:
· TV
· PC
· SCART
· HTV
· AV
· S-Video
· HDMI

Now that is quite a choice for a TV at this price range. The Viewsonic does not have an inbuilt FreeView tuner, but you can't have everything.

----------------------------------
** PICTURE QUALITY **
----------------------------------
The Viewsonic N2060w produces a very nice clear, sharp image. It would not be fair to compare it against a TV that costs over £1000 but at this budget level, it does the job and more. There is no blurring when watching fast paced movies and it produces vivid colours and clear images no matter what the content that is chosen.

--------------------------------
** SOUND QUALITY **
--------------------------------
This is my only gripe with the Viewsonic. It does produce brilliant sounds and the surround sound capability of the speakers is out standing. When I'm watching it, at times I turn my head to the left or right, because somehow it gives you the feeling that noises are coming from the your side. However, a small annoyance I have with the speakers is, that if you turn them up too loud, the bass sound coming from the speakers starts making distorting noises. This can be quite annoying, however I am talking about putting the sound up quite high, which you shouldn't really need to do.

----------------------------------------------
** DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT **
----------------------------------------------
Dimensions:
(W x H x D) 522mm x 424mm x 185mm

Boxed Weight:
9 kg.

Weight:
15.2 lb (6.9 kg)

-------------------------------
** WALL BRACKET **
-------------------------------
I also purchased a generic wall bracket that would hold a TV of up to 26 inches to the wall. The job of fitting the bracket was very straight forward. 4 holes in the wall is all that's need to hold the bracket. The TV then slids down onto hooks and 6 months later it's still there on the wall.
