ViewSonic VX1935wm

Advantages: Fast, Sleek, beautiful colour
Disadvantages: Pricey

DVD's on. It is widescreen so widescreen DVD's go perfect with it. The design of this monitor is lovely. It doesn't look or feel cheaply built. That is probably reflected in the price a bit I suppose. This monitor supports DVI and analog inputs. I use DVI and it works fine. Have not tested analog but probably works just as good. It has one power input in the back with the cable included. The input cables are also included. It comes with a multi-language instruction manual which is super easy to understand (providing you are reading the right language). Viewsonic offers good online support I find and the website is easy for me to navigate to find. I purchased this monitor for around 200£ I believe from www.ebuyer.com. Overall I feel this money is of superb quality and was well worth spending the extra money. Now anyone who ...

ViewSonic VA2216w - Great value 22" monitor

Advantages: 22" size, stylish design, great low price
Disadvantages: No DVI socket, not perfect picture

When my 19" widescreen Xerox PC monitor suddenly stopped working, I didn't hesitate to order a new and bigger screen to replace it. Before the Xerox LCD, I had owned a 17" Iiyama CRT and a 17" Neovo TFT LCD. I definitely prefer monitors that display rich colours, sharp images and have a large screen. I also think wide screens are a better design, in part due to my preference of stacking windows side to side and not on top of each other. Using 15" and smaller screens when I was younger, I was always impressed by 17" and 19" CRTs (which seemed huge to me before 2000). I like big screens but of course the price can increase steeply with the size variable. Looking through various online stores and at different models, I found the Viewsonic VA2216w on offer for about £110 including VAT. This seemed great value for a new 22" widescreen ...

Viewsonic Monitor

Advantages: Very affordable, good quality
Disadvantages: colour could be sharper

View sonic monitors can be quite under-rated at times, and you may be inclined to go for a TV brand for your PC monitor like samsung or LG. However you may find some of the biggest PC manufactures giving viewsonic monitors with their PC's it because they're of good quality and of a very good price. The colour they give may not be up to Bravia standards, but you really wouldn't be unhappy with the colour on their monitors and the contrast ratios are good. The actual screen is very thin and the monitor also look pretty good, with the thin black border and sturdy stands. In essance their monitors are great value for money and anyone looking to upgrade to a flatscreen should consider this 19", or if you wer thinking i'll go 17" because you thought you couldn't afford a decent 19" here you are. ...
