I'd never cried in the middle of a game before but this is one hell of a game, I too had my doubts at first but this game exceeded all my expectations, Viewtiful Joe deserves more than stars, it deserves galaxies. Full of action, great story line, great humour, everything a game should be, pick up your controller and join me in paradise.

The start is exciting enough but the game just gets better and better and although it looks like a kids game, trust me it's so much more. I was in awe of the characters, 3 of whom you will have to unlock but in my opinion are well worth it, their amazing style puts to shame all who have come before and their unique humour just blew me away. Joe and his (friends?) do not just defeat bad guys but they do so with style.

I was also impressed by the powers you have as a superhero. You start as the character Viewtiful Joe but without any special powers but after a very short time you get your first power. ‘Slow’ with this you can slow time down without getting much slower yourself and makes your attacks stronger, so you can beat’em up in half the time and twice the style.

As you go on you receive two more powers: ‘max speed’ and ‘zoom’, ‘Max speed allows you to move and attack faster, it also allows you to have another you beating people up for you, whereas ‘zoom’ allows you impress your very own audience and pull off moves that will leave any black belt drooling, You can also combine your powers for a different or bigger effect. Worried don’t be the game will guide you through how to use your powers making it as easy as watching someone prepare toast.

When you get to a boss, beat a boss or get half way through an episode you’re allowed to go to a shop (yippee and woohoohoo), here you can buy items that will give you even more powers and give you back lives you lost among other stuff. To pay for these you have to earn viewtifuls by destroying stuff and showing off (like being paid to eat ice-cream not that I’m complaining), some of these items will also allow you to show off even more earning more viewtifuls. When you beat the boss you can save your progress on a memory card and when you finish the game you can play it again with all the items you had before.

For all you players out their not too great but who still want to win don't worry you have different levels of difficulty, the easiest of which is kids. You have three other difficulties and games are also harder with characters you have to unlock, the harder the character to unlock the worse the baddies come. The game is hardest in ultra-v-rated playing as Captain Blue.

The game will allow you to have fun straight away, because you learn by playing and acquire powers cumulatively, allowing you to master each technique as you go. By the end of the game you'll find yourself struggling with the choice of the million stylish ways to leave the bad guy in shaking in fear and envy.
The villains are challenging but also fun to toy around with, they are all unique and have different strengths and weaknesses. But beware they are by no means pushovers, you'll find yourself going up against super villains, helicopters, tanks and Ballet dancers!!! But the worst of these are the bosses you go up against, who show you no mercy. In time you'll be juggling ten villains and still have time to show off a little.

All my apologies viewtiful Joe for all I thought and said before I held your comfort, your beauty in my hands, I am unworthy and I will love you more than any game…tomorrow and the next day, forever and ever or at least until the next instalment, Capcom you've won my trust so bring it on baby.
