This game offers me a nostaligic platformer for retro fans in which you control a movie fan and advance through the game executing stunning moves with beautiful visuals.
The GOOD Points:
Graphics - these are stunning and bright bringing the game to life. These beautiful visuals bring the moves to lfie and really make use of joe's VFX moves. Cell shaded comic book style graphics bring out the game and increase its fun factor. Combined with the rapid pace of the gameplay you are left with an awesome spectacle.
Gameplay - this is fast and frenetic and thus can be a lot of fun. The fights are rapid and flash which allows you to have a considerable enjoyment playing the game. There are over 20 characters which gives the game depth and extends its lifespan.
Story mode - this is the best and most involving part of the game as it takes you on a journey to emulate your hero captain Blue. You are taken on a variety of movie sets which are fresh and bright.
Extras - there are few extras on top of the Gamecube version such as the inclusion of Dante from Devil May Cry as well as trish, vergil, marionette and sparda. Also the single player mini game mode has a lot of content to keep you entertained.
Gamesharing - you can actually share some of the contents of the game with only one UMD. This means you can link up wirelessly with a friend without the game.
The BAD POINTS:
Gameplay - whilst the fun IS fast and IS frenetic, this can end up you being in the middle of a chaotic scene with great difficulty in controlling your character.
Battles - I found the battles way too chaotic and found that i lost sight of who my character was on the screen with this huge melee, and was often confused and frustrated at the gameplay. This leaves an unsatisfying combat where you are not in control
Game is too short and i found that i completed the game in days and i am not an pro at platformers at all. I found that game did not have enough in it to keep me gripped for long and was ultimately left disappointed with its shallow gameplay, which is not enjoyable.
OVERALL: Whilst action is its biggest strength, it also lets it down a great deal. Fans of the series will find a lot to love with the title staying true to its genre, graphics and style. This is a good buy if you're a fan of the series. If not, it might be better to look for a better title than this one. I liked it but be warned, this is a love it or hate it title.

Advantages: Good fun, gives travel-hungry challenges in little chewable chunks Disadvantages: The cutscenes could've been animated and voiced to give the title a wider appeal.
...nor own, a copy of Viewtiful Joe on Nintendo's former money-making machine.
When I came across this little diamond, I had read many views regarding its debut and the subsequent port to the PS2, but never had the chance to really sit down and actually try it out for myself. And to be fair, I'm so glad I'm the proud owner of Sony's little monster, as playing Joe on the small screen is just as joyous to play as I'm sure its predecessors are.
The game ... ...exported out of Japan, with the plot bizarrely akin to its comparison. You play the egotistical star of a movie being filmed with other characters, and you control a choice of them in the varied "fight scenes" you unlock as you progress. Of course, feeling unwanton simply as a beat-'em-up, the game presents blockbuster, dazzling moves unique to each chosen protaginist.
It also copies various styles from genres like kung-fu and Hollywood action, ...
