...I have used Kingston RAM ever since I started building computers. It is still the best brand in my book. The quality of it makes it run faster and prove to be alot more reliable.
Some people prefer Corsair RAM, now Corsair is great too, and I will admit it isnt't far behind the quality of Kingston, maybe it is just a personal preference for me.
You get a lifetime warranty with all Kingston RAM modules, yes, lifetime! You just send it back to them and they send you a new one. They also offer free lifetime technical support. You even get general installion notes and a small diagram!
I use this particular stick of RAM, but my review applies to all Kingston memeory modules.
I find the best prices for Kingston RAM from www.ebuyer.com, many offer computer based products also have a great price on there....

Advantages: Reliable and I've never seen a single DOA Disadvantages: Very pricey!
...At first looks this looks like an ordinary 512MB DDR memory stick, and at second looks, well, it still does. I've never seen a DOA on this product and used quite a lot, however, does that really justify the price markup?
The memory is standard DDR ram, but it is ECC, which is usually more expensive.
The only difference I can see is that the RAM comes with a sticker which has the HP part number printed on. Aside from that, the manufacturers range, infinieon being the one I've seen most.
Not really a great deal more to say about memory. I can recommend it if your budget allows, but in my opinion there are many alternatives around for a much lower price....

Advantages: Upgrading memory is best way to improve performance Disadvantages: You must make sure you get the correct type of memory!
...If you are running windows XP you really need minimum of 128Mb, but you will notice a big improvement with extra memory. Adding 256Mb can give your computer that bit more speed for everyday computing use. If you are intending on handling photos etc thought you really should look at 512Mb and 1Gb (1024Mb), particularly for the price difference.
Memory is also probably the simplest thing to upgrade inside a computer, it takes only a couple of minutes to insert the chip and then you are ready to go. In general, no settings need altering in your computer (since it already has some memory, it now just has more, unlike when its faced with an entirely new device).
When upgrading memory you must check exactly which type you need:
First check that you have some slots free. If not then it will involve removing one of the existing chips...

this is a nice little mp3 player which has excellent sound quality.
256mb hold around 70 songs for me but you can also use it to hold documents so you can transfer them from computer to computer
