Advantages Advantages A nice, refreshing Squash!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very sticky if spilt.

Over the years, I had gradually been going off squash drinks. From being young and drinking nothing but, I guess I got bored with them, and preferred the more tasty drinks of Fruit Juices and Fizzy Drinks. It was eventually at the point, where I drank nothing but Tea, Orange Juice, or fizzy drinks, squash was for the emergencies – when there was nothing else to have. But then, Mum bought a bottle of Vimto. It sat on the kitchen side, unopened, untested by anyone in the family. I tried it out of curiosity, I mean, I like the fizzy version, which I had been enjoying for years. First off, Vimto ... more

Advantages Advantages Very tasty, Good value for money (don't need to use too much at a time)

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slightly more expensive than some other brands

Vimto... I'm sure I hated it as a kid... not any more though - now my kitchen cupboard is truly considered empty if there's no Vimto left! A Brief History: Vimto in its original format was invented by a Lancashire man, John Nichols, way back in 1908! Apparently he had a little business in Manchester selling medicines to shops in the North West and this is where he first invented Vimto. It was given the name due to the fact the recipe was supposed to give you 'vim' and vigor' - making you feel full of life. A few years later in 1912 Vimto was registered as a medicine, and a year after that as a ... more

    Advantages Advantages tastes very nice

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Ah Vimto - what a wicked load of adverts they have with purple Ronnie and Martin Clunes doing the voice overs for it. Not only is this advertised by a true British hero (Men behaving badly has got to be one of the best British comedies ever) but they have got a drink here that is worthy to be advertised by him. Granted his career seems to be a bit on the rocks at the mo, but this ad has surely boosted his credibility. Yeh back to the drink - truely awesome because you can obviously dilute it and make the concentration to your own specific liking. Now that I say is great because you can have ... more

    Advantages Advantages Very tasty.

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be sickly and expensive.

Vimto has to be one of my favourite soft drinks, be it fizzy of still; hot or cold it always has the best of flavours for me. The cordial bottles are made of completely recyclable clear plastic and have a bright purple wrapper which is also recyclable and printed on it are pictures of the fruit that is included in the drink; they are grape, blackcurrant, raspberries. The lid is purple and when you open it you need to pull on a plastic tab in order to be to pour the drink. They are available in 725ml, 1ltr, 1.5ltr and 2ltr sizes. This drink tastes as you would imagine, extremely fruity, the ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheaper, doesn't go flat, just as tasty!

Disadvantages Disadvantages You have to mix it yourself and could make it too weak or with too much cordial!

VIMTO CORDIAL I love Vimto, it is and always has been (well since I can remember) my favourite soft drink. Up until now I have always bought the pop variety of the drink, the 2lt version, which costs around £2 a bottle depending where you get it, and if there are any offers on. But last time I went shopping I saw the cordial. Vimto cordial has been around for years, and when my mum and dad bought it at home, I avoided it like the plague, I am not a big fan of still drinks, I like water, and I like pure juice and smoothies, but I am not a cordial fan, and it always makes me think of flat pop ... more
