...my late uncles Mark 10 Jaguar when I was only knee high to a grasshopper. He was what in those days would be called a "gentleman farmer", and used to change his Jaguar for a new model every January 1st, (nice if you can afford it!) so I was privileged enough to be ferried around in some really classy machinery as a wee fella, even if my own late father's budget would only stretch to cars like the Ford Anglia and Triumph Herald. ~ ~ For the past six ......to actually purchase a used Jaguar XJ6 of my own for use as my taxi. With this idea in mind I've been assiduously trawling through all the second hand car websites like "Autotrader" and "Exchange and Mart" looking for the right car at the right price, alas without too much success. The first thing you have to realise when you go looking for a used JaguarXJ6 is that this car has been around for a LONG time, the first models rolling of the production ... Read review

...my 1990 "Lotus Racing Green" Lotus Elan S1, I thought I'd share my experience of owing this ground-breaking car. The Lotus brief was a two-seater roadster that would appeal to the American market. With this in mind, it's easy to see why the cabin appears so spacious - American's don't like to be cramped! The windscreen is shallow-angled and you get the feeling of being in a much larger car as the dashboard stetches away in front of you. The driving ......as among the best work Lotus ever did, the Elan is a sheer pleasure to drive. And so began my love affair with "B" roads! There is nothing like punting it off a roundabaout onto a stretch of twisties to make you grin like a simpleton. The Elan is forgiving, making even the clumsiest corner-taker look good. My Elan was the turbo variety - really the non-turbo's aren't worth any savings they may appear to give you at the time of purchase. I drove ... Read review

Jaguar XJ6 The first thing you have to realise when you go looking for a used JaguarXJ6 is that this car has been around for a LONG time, Consequently there are a lot of used Jaguar XJ6 models for sale, but many have either been "thrashed" or else are in generally poor and run down condition ensuring that (if possible) it has a full Jaguar main dealer history that is backed up by the old MOT Certificates and receipts. Offset this with highly polished ......fit for royalty! The car even came with the original Jaguar carpets and rubber mats, all carrying the distinctive Jaguar emblem! Its a car to have if you are car loover, and like to have something in class,I drive around in jaguar XJ6 sovereign sport, everytime I am home in Spain. ... Read review

hese are cracking little cars with bags of character. They're slow as hell, so don't expect to go anywhere quick - average speed in hilly surroundings is 30mph, flat out is about 55mph (with a tail wind) and you have to stop every 80 miles or so to give the little air-cooled engine a breather. That said, we drove ours from Milan to London in 4 days without any dramas. It's comfortable enough, surprisingly roomy, the engine has a pleasant two cylinder ......boat engine, so isn't hard on the ears. And most importantly this car is the cutest thing on four wheels! We originally bought it to sell on at a profit (our €2,000 would have converted into about £3,500!) but it was so much fun we kept it. It's such a head turner. We drive it around London sometimes and people go mad for it. It's so funny. God knows how many photos we're in without even knowing it. Anyway, economical, fun, cheap (ish) to maintain ... The morris minor is one of those cars i like to call "CLASSIC OF CLASSICS" when people think of classics, a lot of people think of the beetle and the minors! LOOKS Not bad at all for a car over 30 years old, infact quite good looking, its roundish!!! Most cars of its day were more square! It looks cute, and almost smiles at you, with those massive headlamp eyes! Like one of the other Morris minor reviews states, no - one smiles at ......Ebay and on Autotrader. But there is also specialist Classic dealers scatered about, just need to browse the the WORLD WIDE WEB. Overall, a very good car, if you are after a classic, then maybe the Morris Minor is for you! Hope it is of some help! ... Read review
