The web site is easy to use but for specific information you have to either e-mail or phone them. We visited the car lot in Manchester, which was not as big as it appeared on-line. Not all the types of car listed on the web are physically on site. We already knew which car we wanted to purchase and had a pre-set cash budget with which to barter. The sales person was very helpful, but didn't have enough authority to agree a deal without frequently 'asking his manager'. The price agreed was fantastic - knocking almost £4500 from the dealership price for the same car. One thing to note is that the price they list does not include road fund, registration fees or metallic paint on new cars. The main draw back appears to be delivery time. Ten days after signing the order form, we still have no idea when the car will be available and no one returns our calls. However Virgin does offer a 1hour programme for the purchase of used cars which are presumably the ones on site. I would highly recommend buying a vehicle from Virgin just for the massive savings – but bear in mind, you have to be patient!!
