Virgin Cars - DON'T DO IT!

Advantages The price - if the car ever turned up
Disadvantages Cars do not exist
You've flown Virgin Atlantic; have a virgin One account mortgage; drink Virgin wine and exercise at a Virgin Gym. BUT I would advise you NOT to buy a car from VirginCars.com.
They are a case study in broken promises....a perfect example of empty-headed customer service people with no influence over how the awful company works.I ordered a VW Touran from Virgin Cars in February as the price was cheaper than a dealer and they said they would deliver within 8 weeks. But then everything started to go wrong....
I received one phone call from the virgin cars customer service people telling me of an expected delivery date - this was the first and last tine they ever called me.The delivery date sailed past and they had no news. The car was apparently subject to 'a delay' and I have been left high and dry. It is now late May and I phone every day not to get my car but to get news of when I might expect to hear about when they might get some news about the car. They cannot tell me if it is one week or one year away.
When I started to threaten them they offered me an alternative car - the wrong engine size, the wrong colour, no accessories, no alarm, and still three weeks (esimated) to wait. I refused this but this means I not only have no new car I have no idea when I might get my new car...What use is a cheap price if the car does not exist? What use is it to have a customer service department if they tell you absolutely nothing every time you call? What use is it to have a brand like virgin if they sell you only false promises? And to rub salt in the wound, they tell me that if I cancel my order I will have to pay a £69 fee. For what?

Hi there! l too have been waiting;l got fed up after 7 weeks and told them l want my money back! The best thing to do is to give them AS MUCH bad publicity as you can-people will then not be conned into sending their money just so "Virgin Cars"(it is nothing to do with virgin;the company is run by D C Cook) can sit on the money making interest.l have contacted Watchdog and Top Gear;DO THE SAME! Send letters to any motoring journal to highlight their inefficiences! Al

good review and it sees like you will save alot of people alot of wasted time and effort
Hi there, I can see you have been going through the virgin car experience at the same time as me! We eventually got our car on Friday with no a/c, we had asked twice and were told twice it definately had a/c! Anyway as alanski has been doing I have written to Watchdog, The Judge at the Sunday Mail and several review sites and there is no-one I know will ever use Virgin Cars! In fact I am not allowed to mention them at work they are so fed up with the whole business! Hope you get your car soon and all is ok. Ann .
