Advantages Advantages British, reasonably-priced, almost always on offer...

Disadvantages Disadvantages Up against Coke and Pepsi, so will never get a fair chance.

All hail this reasonably-priced low calorie carbonated soft drink (with vegetable extracts and sweeteners) to rival the players from the States! Richard Branson seems like a very decent bloke to me and, hurrah, he's not American. However, he did have the bottle to ride into New York's Times Square in 1998 on top of a tank, no less, promising a battle with Coke and Pepsi in his bid to crack America. And he's still going at it. Hats off to him. It's about time someone with respect and financial muscle stood up to greedy US multinationals. And so, I know that I'd much rather buy his cola than ... more

Richard Bransons company originally launched Virgin Cola in 1994 with the intention of rivalling the American giants, even going so far as to drive a tank through New Yorks Time Square in a marketing campaign and launching 'The Pammy', a bottle shape modelled on the body of Pamela Anderson. Although the Virgin brand is well established around the world, Branson admits that cola is one of the less succesful Virgin ventures. Princes have produced, marketed and distributed Virgin Cola under franchise since 2002 in the UK, and relaunched the product in 2004 with the 'great new taste' campaign, in ... more

    Advantages Advantages It's damn nice

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Almost too nice

Now I was just sat here racking my brains to the big question, no not the meaning of life, but you would be close. What do I review next? Well the answer was right under my nose, well in my hand actually, fizzing away minding it's own buisness. Now I am a fan of the Diet Virgin as I am diabetic, and yes as you will tell from my other reviews I do also like my choc (please don't lecture me.) You can also get it in regular flavour but besides the fact I can't drink it, it's too sickly anyway. The taste you get is not like most other coca cola wannabes, you know the ones that just taste like an ... more

    Advantages Advantages Price.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Sweetness.

It's a Cola. It wants the image of Coca Cola but has the taste of Pepsi. Virgin Cola never really satisfied my thirst, not feeling really refreshing enough for my own tastes. Virgin Cola doesn't have that "sharp" edge like Coke and is sweeter, tasting fairly strongly of saccharine. This is definately more a mixer, providing bulk to a drink, than a stand-alone beverage, working well with strong tasting spirits such as vodka. It's a pleasant flavour, but not one everyone will enjoy. If you're looking for something as a cheap mixer at a party, Virgin Cola is a good alternative to the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Very nice

Disadvantages Disadvantages who cares, it's a coke!

I've heard a lot of people say that virgin cola tastes horrible so one day I tried it out to see why all my friends hate it. The second I tasted that cola I was shocked by the taste, it was so good! This cola unlike coke cola and pepsi is very thirst quenching and doesn't leave an after taste like coke cola. Virgin cola is the new way forward, coming in plain and classic it provides a good not too fizzy feeling and a great taste. Virgin cola comes in bottles and cans making it easy to store if your like me and only have a small fridge! It is not as sweet as pepsi so may not be to everyones ... more
