I have had my Virgin ISA for around 10 months and can't really fault the product or their service. The fund has low charges (1% annual management fees, no other charges for entry/exit fees etc.) and fairly closely follows the FTSE All-Share index. You can pay an initial lump sum and leave it, or as I do, pay a fixed amount monthly, with the option to top up using debit card or cheque always available. Any time I have done this, units are purchased promptly with the new money, as they are with the regular direct debit payments.
The service they provide on the phone is excellent, with knowledgeable and friendly staff on their main number, with a freephone number for a balance check a real time saver. Any requests I have made have been correctly processed, though I do find that every time you speak with them, you seem to get a letter confirming any details you have discussed. They also operate a website to allow 24/7 access to your details, and although it can be quite awkward to find things, it's all there once you get used to looking for it.
The online applications process was simple, with an initial payment option by debit card/direct debit/cheque, and all paperwork was sent out promptly.
For those looking for a safe low cost ISA, this may be the one for you.

Advantages: Good perfermance, low charges, good customer service, money refunded promptly without a hitch Disadvantages: I have not found one in the 5 years I have invested with them.
