One of my friend’s phone broke. This is because her drink leaked in her bag. This phone isn’t waterproof, please be aware of that. She did get a refund though ,which is good.

The lobster 700tv phone is not just a phone; instead it should be called a device! I bought my phone 2 months ago and I love it! It’s got everything you would ever need on it and more! It’s fabulous!
What does it look like?♥ People say that the appearance of my phone is a negative point. I disagree. The phone is silver and black and has a large bit that sticks out at the side. I think that this phone is actually very attractive and I like the look of it because, when people see they say “wow what is that?” and it makes me feel good because my phone is different to theirs and everyone else’s! I like the look of the lobster 700tv because it is rather big- about 3.5 cm in width and 6 cm in height. At one point, small phone were in and now, big phones are in. And this is the ultimate big phone to have. The colour may be boring but I think that it looks very stylish and the bulge bit on the side doesn’t look that bad at all.
What features does this phone have?♥ This phone has everything you would ever want in a phone. And I mean everything. First of all, it is a windows smart phone which obviously means it has Microsoft window on it, yes Microsoft windows! With windows you also get windows associated programs- internet explorer, windows media player, msn messenger. All of which are excellent features. Apart from the msn messenger which costs quite a bit of money to use. I like the fact it has windows and I think that if you are a business person you will really love thisd phone because it’s just so hi-tech. The only thing about the windows is that sometimes my phone freezes and I have been told that a lot of windows phones do this but it has only done it a couple of times and it hasn’t done it recently so im not too bothered about it.
This phone also features a 1.3 mega pixel camera which is quite good. It’s not the best camera I’ve had on one of my phones but it’s not exactly the worst. If you’re one these types who likes a phone with an brilliant quality camera then this isn’t the phone for you. The camera a 4.0 zoom (whatever that means?!) But it’s the most zoom I’ve ever had on a camera phone and I’ve been told it’s quite good. It also has a self timer, white balance adjuster and a video camera. You can also change the capture settings and capture mode to suit your situation. Sadly, it doesn’t have flash which I miss terribly.
This phone also has a TV on it and DAB digital radio. The tv channels are- itv1, bbc1, E4, channel 4 and ITN news. The tv is good although you only get it free for the first three months and after that you have to pay £5 for it. To be honest I have only ever used the tv about twice because there is just no need for me to do so. I wanted to watch it at school sometimes but sadly, I can’t pick up signal at school to receive the broadcasts. I’ve only had this problem at school though, it works fine in other places. At the time of writing this review, I have one month left of free tv and I probably wont pay the subscription after this because it’s simply not useful. DAB radio is free and I use it occasionally, it’s got about 15 channels- kiss, xfm, virgin radio, capital. Etc. The picture and sound quality is fairly good, not major complaints about it. The phone also has an SD memory card slot because you can’t actually hold that much music and pictures on the phone. I have got about 30 pictures and 8 songs and mine’s nearly full- doesn’t compare to my old Samsung where I had 100 videos, 40 pics and 10 songs and not even half of my memory was full!
The screen is quite large- it’s 2.2 inches which is great. It’s exactly the right size. It also has Bluetooth, a calendar, calculator, can be syncrhonised with the computer, and can also be connected to the computer via USB for transfer of songs, photos etc.
It has a screen resolution of 64k and is tri band which is handy because you never know if you’re going to be whisked away to somewhere lovely (although dualband would be better cos you can use it pretty much anywhere)
The battery lasts for about 140 hours which is ages! I love it I charge it about once every 5 days for about 2 hours. It has built in modem and 2 games, one of which I’m addicted to! (Bubble breaker)
Durability♥ In my opinion, this phone is durable to and extent because I’ve dropped in on the floor and it’s been fine but I guess that most phone they make nowadays are like this anyway so I guess that’s not a special feature. Also, I know three people who have this phone including me. All three of us- even though we have taken care of our phone have been upset and shicked by the amount of scratches on our screens. The 700tv seems to like being scratched. The tiniest scratches look like huge scratches on this phone. I thin kthis is one of the main flaws in this phone design. No other phone I have had, or my friends have had, has been blessed with so many scratches. I think virgin and lobster need to redesign the screen and make it scratch proof or something like creative have done for their new mp3 players.

Because I was already in Virgin I got £10 off. Because I have spent £100 on credit since I’ve been with virgin, I got a further £10 0ff. It’s usually £100 but at that time it was half price. They put 100 on per month for two months and I was told that this 2oo min bundle is worth £25 on it’s own. So for £50 you will be getting this amazing phone and 200 minutes also and if you are already on virgin you could be getting it for £40 or maybe even £30! You can buy this phone on the virgin mobile website but I feel that it’s better to but it in the virgin shop because then you can ask questions and they can even set it up for you like they did for me.
Overall…♥ This phone is a hi-tech phone with all the features you could ever want in a phone. It really is just more than a phone. The screen scratches easily so put it in a protective pouch or pocket and remember not to let water get into it. The features are excellent and the price is even better. It’s a brilliant stylish phone but is a little complicated to use but you get used to it. It’s excellent for business type people because you can do all businessy things on it but it’s perfect for normal people too!

I ummed and aahed when the phone was £100, but eventually with a special offer and upgrade allowance got it for £40, added a 1GB Micro SD card for under a tenner and got started.
Regular phones these days can do more or less all a smartphone can, but not usually all together and without fuss. Everything is fully integrated, so your Windows Media Player audio will pause while you are on the phone for convenience, ... ...doing, everything keeps running.
I installed ActiveSync on my home PC and work laptop without a hitch, synchronising everything I want across the three - the only way I know to do that! I keep contacts, calendar, tasks and favourites synchronised, but not my email - I run several accounts and am happy to let the server do the hard work. Easy!
The main improvement from my old phone is the inclusion of a set of applications to view Office documents ...

...purchased one of these from Virgin Mobile for £49.99 making it half price. Well all I can say is WOW. You would never find a Windows Smartphone for this price on a PAYG service. It takes micro SD cards and you can use a 2gig card if you buy a well know brand card. It has all the features you would find on any Windows Mobile Device, including internet explorer, outlook that you can sync to your desktop, appointments, support for java software plus ... ...if you purchase tomtom mobile and a bluetooth gps unit. Mind you you could allways just install google maps on it to cut costs like I have The only things I feel could be better is the onboard memory, and an easy way to change the microSD card. But for £49.99 you cant go wrong. ...

I have had the virgin lobster phone for a few months now. It has been a grerat experience and a very enjoyable phone to have. APart from its bulkyness it is a superb phone, not just for making calls on but to go on instant messaging, the internet, or even listening to your favourite music. I currently have a 1Gb memory card in it, and i have 315 pictures on it, and 112 songs on it and a few videos. The screen is a good size and it enables you to ... ...having to move. This may not be the smartest, or stylish phone ever created but the features it has to offer aer outstanding, and all for an exceptional price.
