Advantages Great Service

Disadvantages Call center takes awhile to get through to with some long queues

my experience of virgin media is from 2 different perspectives one being from the customers over view of the company, and another being an ex virgin media CMC (customer care) agent,

i am a customer of the 2mb a month broadband, which has satisfied my needs completly, i have recieved the full speed and not under as they provide up to 2mb which means you may not recieve full stream of the service. Occasionally i do suffer with my services going down, as an error on the omni box (the green box on the street) most often of which is caused by road works. they offer speeds of 2mb(£18) 4mb(£25) and 20mb (£35)

compared to the opposition virgin media do provide a good service, unlike some leading competetors, virgin media provide their digital services via a coaxil wire, which means that unlike another leading company whom of which provide thier service through satalite dishes that virgin media television cannot get affected by terrential rain, or most weather, unless its lightening which can strike the ground where the leads are layed. The most common fault with virgin medias television is pixelation , which is caused not by the provider but by the customers miss use, to avoid this pixelation you must make sure that there is no dvd player or anything on top of the box, as there are air filters on top of the boxs, and if it over heats it will cause pixelation, another way if your getting pixelation is to turn the box of by the mains over night allowing the box to get all the important updates, other wise the box will be running not at its full potential. they provide great package options which are called M (medium) , L (large) , XL (extra large) which use to be select base and family, when previously NTL.


the telephone service is great with talk weekends, talk evenings and weekends and talk unlimited which are all cheap and defintly worth splashing out the cash for, as its free calls with talk weekends and talk evenings and weekends to any other virgin media customer, with talk evenings it starts from 6pm till 6am, and talk weekends from 6pm friday night, make sure you are aware that as soon as the call hits an hour, hang up and redial other wise they do charge.

as i am an ex employee for virgin media, i do hold some what for a grudge for them,as they did let me go as they do like to 'hire and fire' and as i was a great customer care agent as many many customers did tell me, and email me to thank, there are many great people working there, its just they have to stick to quality calls, and time restrictions on calls, for stat purposes,
