Advantages It's not called Virgin Megastores anymore.

There are a lot of things that can be said about a store that sells items 'above' the recommended retail price. Many of them being unsuitable for young ears and would probably warrant a washing my mouth out with copious amounts of soap; but for the purposes of this review I shall try to keep things both clean and objective.
The first thing I noticed as I entered the store is that it is quite dark and most of its theme is based on black fixtures and fittings. Items are generally quite well laid out though I have noticed that these layouts are quite regularly subject to change. The prices, as scandalous as they are, are at least displayed in quite a large print for easy reference. The second thing that I notice is the music. Firstly that it is a rather poor choice, and secondly that it is about 130 decibels too loud. I am not a hermit or a prude who must be in absolute silence at all times, but I don't particularly like the idea of being deafened while I am out shopping either.
Premature deafness might also explain the general un-helpfulness of the staff which are mostly comprised of teens with hair to match every colour of the rainbow; it is just a shame that their attitudes are not quite so interesting. Any help that is given will generally be in dulcet tones with an underlying indications of 'I want to go on my break now'. I will occasionally pay over the odds for items, but only if I receive admirable service; the service provided here is far from it, and from a quick look at other reviews it would appear that I am not the only one who thinks so.
So, the prices. I really don't think much needs to be said. Anyone who has the audacity to charge customers above recommended retail price these days is doing nothing short of insulting the integrity and intelligence of their customers; QED.
In their defense however, they do occasionally have some good special offers, but they still require you to step foot in the store unfortunately (Unless you buy online, but then there are different offers).
Well if you like paying over the odds for things then this will be like heaven for you. If, on the other hand, you actually come from planet Earth and have your head still firmly attached to your shoulders, you will probably want to look elsewhere for cheaper prices. Sometimes atmosphere and service will justify a higher price, but not this time.
