Virgin mobile - fantastic!

Advantages: Great prices, service, rewards, website... and lots more!
Disadvantages: Website sometimes won't load

Costs:

I have found the prices very reasonable:

10p texts to other networks and just 3p to other virgin mobiles
15p per minute for the first five minutes of calls each day and 5p after that

Although this is a bit of a pain if your friends are not with Virgin you can now also buy a range of different bundles including ...
...bundle you have purchased, although Virgin are unique in allowing any texts/minutes left over to roll into the next month as long as you buy another bundle - making this an even better deal as, if you're like me and text lots but only make a few calls a month, you can buy alternate packages - I usually get a minutes and texts combined one month and then just texts the other, making using my phone much more cost efficient.

Are you still a virgin mobile virgin!?

Advantages: Cheap calls and texts to other virgin mobile users
Disadvantages: Not everyone has a virgin mobile but they should!

I've been a virgin mobile user for nearly six years and i have no regrets what so ever! ** First things first - the prices!!! ** Calls to other virgin mobile users = 15p for the first 5 minutes then 5p there after. Calls to other networks = 35p per minute Texts to other virgin mobile users = 3p (bargain!!!!!) Texts to other networks = 10p Picture messages = 30p WAP = 0.5p per kb Voicemail = free Calling 789 (to top-up or find out your airtime) ...
...call and text to other virgin mobiles saves you a lot of money! The 3p a text to other virgin mobiles is a major selling point for virgin and it's a good one at that - you can send three messages to a virgin mobile for the price of one to another network! ** The phones ** Buying a phone from virgin (in the shops or online) can sometimes be cheaper and sometimes be more expensive than other networks so i recommend you do your research. Also, the ...

Review of Virgin Mobile Pay As You Go

Virgin Mobile

Advantages: great customer service, good call plans, free voicemail
Disadvantages: lack of different call plans

Virgin Mobile, is a virtual network operator in the UK that uses the T-Mobile network. Virgin Mobile, is part of Richard Branson's Virgin group, hence its Virgin branding. Virgin Mobile was the UK's first virtual mobile operator after its launch in 1999. In this review, I will outline the pros and cons of joining this mobile operator, and give a short outline towards the different tarrifs for the pay as you go plan, and whether I think the prices ...
...are the price plans? == Virgin Mobile have two very different call plans. The two price plans are *Pay as you go *Daily Bonus Tariff. === Pay As You Go Tariff === The Pay As You Go Tariff is the default tariff in which you are currently set onto. In my opinion, this tariff is fantastic if you mainly call other Virgin Mobiles, or landlines, but if you do call alot of others on different networks, then do consider switching away from this tariff, ...

Review of Virgin Mobile Pay As You Go

Virgin's rule breakers are the consumer champions

Advantages: Good value, particularly between Virgin customers
Disadvantages: 35p cross network rate unless you buy a bundle

As you may know, Virgin Mobile is a provider without a network (like Tesco Mobile, for instance), in this case piggy-backed on the T-Mobile network. And that means you can guarantee three things:- First, there's little point getting fussed about network coverage. The T-Mobile network is patchy in places - including some places I go regularly - and it's T not V who are in the driving seat. Second, there will be areas where Virgin don't look very ...
...where they excel. For Virgin it's a totally refreshing approach to customer service that puts all the others to shame. Friendly, personal, helpful, informal: I like it. The basic tariff can be confusing. 'Most UK calls' cost 5p per minute (great!) except the first five minutes a day which are 15p. So ten minutes in one day will cost you 80p - which is great value. But 'most UK calls' includes calls to other Virgin customers but not to other mobiles. ...

Review of Virgin Mobile Pay As You Go

virgin on the sublime!

Advantages: good network coverages, cheap rates from virgin to virgin
Disadvantages: cant think of any!

I have been using virgin mobile for about two years now. Having previously used Vodaphone and Orange, I have no hesitation in recommending virgin to anyone. Calls from virgin to virgin are very cheap as are text messaging. The network coverage always seems to be good, with hardly ever any annoying breaking up. The only time it does seem to break up is when you are in a shopping centre or supermarket, although sometimes even then there can be a really ...
...know a few people with virgin mobile phones, and you call or text them often, its definitely worth considering virgin because the call charges are very cheap, its 15 pence for the first five minutes of every day and then 5 pence thereafter. The text messaging is also cheap, its 3 pence a text from one virgin to another. Top ups are one of the best, with a top up card you can top up from just £5 as opposed to some other networks wanting a minimum ...

Review of Virgin Mobile Pay As You Go

Pay 'very little' as you go

Advantages: very cheap calls and texts to other virgin mobile users
Disadvantages: Zilch

I've been with Virgin Mobile for the past three years now. My sister introduced me to them as she had been with them even longer and was amazed at how low their prices were. I have used Pay as you go with every phone I have had as if I were to go on contract, there would be no stopping me and the bill would be a huge amount. With Pay as you go at least you can monitor your spending and stop yourself spending money you havent got (in my case anyway!). ...
...operator (MVNO) in November 1999. Virgin Mobile started as a joint venture between Virgin and T-Mobile. In January 2004, Virgin purchased from T-Mobile all of the shares that T-Mobile owned in Virgin Mobile. Within a two years of Virgins launch, they had over one million customers. They have won a number of consumer awards including Best Prepay Package and Best Customer Services by Mobile Choice magazine for each of the past three years. Tariff ...

Touch screen phone with 3 MP and other features

Advantages: Good budget touch screen phone and easy to use
Disadvantages: poor battery life

This is a basic touch screen phone and it meets all the daily needs. Currently the cheapest deal for Pay as you go is £59.99 plus £10 air time, which costs you about £70 in total. I got this from carphone warehouse and they also give you an extra 2 GB memory card for £5.99. Virgin mobile also accepts the number transferring on pay as you go and I successfully transferred my number from the previous network to Virgin. cons #The touch screen is quite sensitive sometimes and it won't turn to the page as you wish at some point. #The battery life is not good and you may have to charge it every day even I am not very talkive. #The picture colour is a bit dark even under the sunshire. #It is thin but not small size phone. Summary It is a good budget touch screen phone and it supports multiple mobile bands and languages, which makes ...

Great sleek phone!

Advantages: Sleek, Large Screen,Polyphonic Ringtones, a great flip-phone for a VERY reasonable price
Disadvantages: The smaller screen on the exterior cannot be seen very well in the dark unless phone is opened

I bought this phone for my dad, at £79.99 from The Link and it's perfect. It's on Virgin mobile pay as you go, and the rates for Virgin mobile and absolutely great! It's a very sleek phone, and I love the way it looks. It's a flip phone (that is very, very reasonably priced) and it has a large screen inside, as well as a smaller screen on the outside. The smaller screen is used for the clock, telling you when you have a message or have missed a call. This is a wonderful feature but unfortunately the light only turns on when the phone is opened, so cannot be seen very well in the dark. This phone has GREAT sounds. Some hi-tech, some funky, some just normal, but there will be one for you. Also when the phone is opened and closed a sound is played (this is optional). The screen is large and the colours are great ...

Nokia 3510i on virgin pay as you go

Advantages: Ease of use, brand name, battery life, address book size.
Disadvantages: Price, size of screen.

I bought this phone from a virgin mega store about 10 months ago, on a virgin mobile pay as you go package for £120. List of features: Downloadable games and applications via Java technology MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) WAP Wallet Customizable and timed profiles Wallpaper Screensaver (digital clock) Polyphonic ringing tones Clock and alarm clock Calculator, currency converter Stopwatch, countdown timer My experience with the phone is that for the money the above features aren?t enough, most of them you won?t use or are so limited you won?t want to. The colour screen is small and unneeded as there is no camera, which for the money you would now be expecting to find on this price of phone. Its size is reasonable as it isn?t too big for a pocket but isn?t small seeing ...
