Virgin Vie Great Lengths Mascara

...yet another one of my Virgin Vie 'good buys'. I got it 2 months ago and it is still going strong.

As of December 2005 it cost £10 for 8ml.

This is pricier than some other run of the mill high street names but a lot cheaper than 'designer' mascaras as so often you are just paying for the name.

I plumped for the bog standard black.

~ Packaging / What it looks like ~

This is delivered to you in a nice little box.

The mascara holder is black with a screw top (no surprises there). What I particularly like about the holder is the silver 'ring' with a small 'v' logo on it just at the top of the base section.

The 'handle' part of the mascara is sturdy and fits nicely in to your fingers which makes for easy application.

~ What does Virgin Vie promise~

~ Does the mascara live up to it's promise?~

Well it all depends on who you are comparing your lashes with as to whether you have the longest and thickest ones!

But what I must say is that it certainly extends and defines my lashes. I have naturally black eyelashes anyway, not short or particularly long so this mascara really does work by making them look thicker and longer.

Another thing in this mascara's favour is the fact that it doesn't 'clag' when you apply it which I find many have done in the past, leaving black bits of gunk on eyelashes so that you have to start all over again!

~ How long does it last?~

I've had this for 2 months now and there is no sign of it it clagging up or running out. Granted I only use this on nights out as I am really not one for wearing make up during the day although maybe I should!

I envisage it lasting a good 6 months which is great as someone once told me that mascaras should be replaced after 6 months. I just keep using them until nothing is left!

~ Where to buy it? ~

This can be bought from a V.V party with a consultant and a few friends around and the hostess gets a percentage of the sales.

My nearest retail outlet centre has a V.V discount shop which is a great place for picking up real bargains but it's the luck of the draw as to which products are in stock.

~ Would I buy this again?~
Definitely as it really has been a good mascara, giving length and thickness to my eyelashes so despite the fact that it's more expensive than No7 or Rimmel type mascaras it's worth it, the main reason being that there's no 'clagging'!

Just a word of warning for those of you who cry easily, this isn't waterproof and is therefore very easy to remove, a huge bonus at the end of a long night out!
