--Gameplay-- This is another game that gets you hooked as soon as you start playing. The game offers a great range of features including tournament and exhibition matches and also of course the World Tour mode. When you start the world tour it is hard but the more training you do the better you will get and as you start to win more tournaments you will notice your world ranking slowly starting to rise. Training includes drills such as serving, volleying, footwork, forehand and backhand. Once I started my world tour I couldn't go back to play a normal tournament or exhibition game as I wanted to be the world number 1 as soon as possible! I have never played as multi player, but the game goes offer wifi multiplayer for up to 4 players.
--Funfactor-- This game is great fun and they funfactor will not wear off until you manage to conquer the world and win all the grand slam events. With all the different mini games (training) in world tour mode there is always something new to be doing. These games are good fun and takes the repetitive edge of just playing match after match.
--Difficulty rating-- The World Tour mode can be hard to start with and also gets quite hard to break into the world's top 100, you will need to be patient and keep working in training to do this. It also becomes extremely hard to become number 1 as Roger Federer has so many more points than anybody else and you will need to beat him a few times before you can take his spot. When playing normal exhibition games you can set the difficulty to your choice to have an enjoyable game.
--Game controls-- The usual game controls for a tennis game with the joystick setting the direction of the shot and triangle, circle and X to hit either a lob, slice shot or the normal topspin. When you start playing you will probably get away with just playing a normal shot with X but as your game starts to improve you will need to use a full range of different shots.
--Audio/Graphics-- I think the graphics for this game are rather good and it is easy to tell who every player is without seeing their name. The audio is ok I suppose with the regular repetitive background music, sound effects on all the shots and the calling of the score.
--Instructions/Manual-- To be honest I have not even read the instructions, tennis games like this are rather self explanatory and you should be able to work it out for yourself. I would imagine the manual is easy to follow and covers all the game controls with ease.
I have played other tennis game such as Virtua Tennis 3 and Top Spin on other consoles but I do find this one the most addictive and you won't lose the fun factor until you find yourself in the world number 1 spot.
Advantages: Great Simple Gameplay, Graphics Disadvantages: Repetitve, No Online Play
...if anyone remembers the oiginal Virtua Tennis games fondly from either the arcade, or the Dreamcast, then you'll instantly be able to pick up this game and enjoy it. It's very similar to the originals, and if you liked them, you should definitely go out and get this. The core gameplay is the same as it has always been. For those of you who haven't played the original games I'll do my best to describe the game to you throughout the review.
Graphics:
... ...you who have played a Virtua Tennis game before, you will instantly recognize the simple gameplay. You simply position your player for the shot, press a shot button (Top Spin, lob, Slice) and aim the shot with the Analog Stick. The earlier you get into line and start the shot, the more power it will be hit with, also "aftertouch" can be applied once the shot has been hit, allowing you to finely direct the ball towards the line etc. It's simple enough ...

When I started playing it was fun but soon i got frustrated becasue the world tour was hard because you have to get the woman and the man to rank 1 and i had to train a lot with both the man and woman. But i just played more and finally got to where i wanted to.

Virtua Tennis is quite a good game not no brilliant. If you do decide to buy this game I recommend playing the World Tour straight away, because you get to create your own character.

There are plenty of game modes on this game: Quick Match, Tournament, Exhibition, World Tour, Ballgames and Multiplayer. In a week you can only use either your male player or your female player, unless you play a mixed doubles tournament. But then again, you can only play as 1 of your players of course, and the other will be played by the AI. There are 4 different types of training: Service training, stroke training, volley training, and footwork training. You start with 17 different stats, all on level ...

Advantages: Enjoyable, aim of the game Disadvantages: Sound, hard to become the best
One of the earlier games which was realised for the psp. It is basically the same as its brothers on the playstation 2.
The aim of the game is good and once you are into the game you really want to achieve it. The aim is to become the worlds number one with both your made up man and woman. You train them and then play with them in tournaments to make their rating go up. To get them to no. 1 you have to play for a long time and be patient. You can ... ...and better clothes. this is good fun as you win money and get higher rating and you just want to get better and better.
To become the best it does take a long time but if you get into the game you can easily become the best. The multiplayer is good but there are slight faults as you seem to be moving much slower than usual. The sound on certain courts is awful and you have to turn the sound off. The court makes a high pitched noise as the players ...

Advantages: Great Graphics / fluid style of play Disadvantages: Unoriginal / No Online Feature
Being used as one of the launch titles for the PS3 and being produced by Sega, VirtuaTennis 3 was always going to sell well and get crave reviews, but has the game itself evolved enough to stay up there with the overhaul of new games already destined for the PS3? Plainly the answer lies whether or not you are a tennis fan or not as we shall see below.
Its predecessors before it, VirtuaTennis 2 (PS2) and VirtuaTennisWorldTour (PSP) have always been considered as dominating the 'tennis market' for gamers on Sony's machine, so it was no wonder that this game itself has been hyped up. Graphically in the majority of areas, VirtuaTennis 3 lives up to that hype. Highly detailed face mapping has been used to ensure the up-most reality of the players themselves. Face lines and muscle outlines give players realistic features such as cheek ...
