She explains that I can get a really good rates online. I found out my prescription for each eye, which is luckily both pretty similar. I stumbled across Vision Direct, when searching for my contact lenses. Advantages: much cheaper than the high street, fast delivery Disadvantages: no eye test
As a student I tend to be on a tight budget and so was quite happy to discover visiondirect. Lens here are cheaper than the same lens on the high street and comparable to any online shop. Delivery is quick - I normally get my lens with in a week.
I've used a few other online contact lens retailer and have had many problems with them not wanting to accept my credit card as its not a UK one to not liking my prescription cause its by a foreign doctor. ... ...and a foreign doctor.
No such problems with Vision Direct . .. had no problems with my credit card or prescription. Got my lens within in week. They stock a wide variety of lens . . . crazy lens, colour disposable, normal disposable. They also do a reminder service where they remind you when your lenses are supposed to have run out and you can re-order in very few mouse clicks as they keep all the infornation stored. ...

Vision Direct, 0870 125 6240 or www.visiondirect.co.uk is a great online opticians selling contact lenses and solutions. They obviously cannot do the site tests etc so you need a high street opticians for this but they have lenses at very very good prices.
They do all the usual types of lenses eg daily, monthly etc and also have a range of “crazy lenses” such as soccer, cat eye, wolf etc. Also prescription swimming goggles.
They have most of the ... ...on the high street and also offer their own makes which are quite a bit cheaper. I could not find the lenses that I usually use in their catalogue but rang and was given a price for them, they were a lot cheaper than the high street. When I ordered them I was told that they would be a couple of weeks as they had to be specially made, they arrived 3 days later!
I was very impressed with the prices and service and will be using them again. ...
