No capsules please.
Advantages: This oil works wonders Disadvantages: Do you need to be told?
...first good reason to get Boots Cod Liver Oil, or any other brand of free-flowing cod liver oil is that it will be free from admixture. Boots is generally the best value and Seven Seas is also good.
Unfortunately, some supposedly reputable Health Food purveyors sell cod oil in capsules which contain all sorts of other stuff in addition to the main ingredient. Soya oil seems to be a favourite additive. If you want to be sure you are getting 100% the ... ...in my opinion, that is a greater tonic than the occasional swig of cod liver oil, straight from the jar. I am talking about those occasions when you are too far gone even to look for spoon. Life is too interesting to spend counting vitamins as far as I am concerned, and, largely, I avoid them, but for this one supplement. It is simply miraculous as a pick-me-up. You can feel better the moment you put down the bottle and wipe the foul stuff from your ...

Gone in six seconds
Advantages: quick, small Disadvantages: pricey, break easily, strong taste
...– I picked up my Boots magazine and being the advertiser’s dream, saw a new way to get my daily dose of Vitamin C. There, on the page, was my answer!
* Vitamin C *
It’s needed for healthy skin and to help wounds heal. In the immune system it helps the white blood cells to fight infection. It can be found in most fruit (especially citrus) and vegetables. Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin which is not stored in the body and therefore a supplement ... ...age to suck. The Boots Vitamin Strips 4 a day come on a small card, brightly coloured in orange and inform you that they are immune defence.
* The packet *
On the reverse side is a perforated section which is where one pushes the plastic holder away from the card. This is easy to do. The plastic case has a lid that lifts straight up and clicks open and shut. The 28 orange strips nestle inside, pretty close together. * The look of the Vitamin C ...

Try Tesco or Asda Starflower Oil instead
Advantages: Much cheaper than boots, ingredients are identical Disadvantages: remembering to take them every day!
...much better than every other period I have had for the last two years.
I would definately recommend trying Starflower oil but try the cheaper supermarket ones first as the ingrediants are the same and Boots do not always seem to be the most reasonable priced retailer these days. ...

Echinacea May Help to Boost The Immune System.
Advantages: Personally I believe it helps to reduce the length and severity of my colds/flu. Disadvantages: There are conflicting studies: Some say Echinacea works and some think it does not.
...that I use is from Boots and the price was around £6 (sorry cannot remember the exact price). The Echinacea that I purchased was the 'Echinacea Tincture' (50ml). This Echinacea comes in a bottle and the Echinacea is in liquid form (1:5 extract). You can also get Echinacea in capsule form. You do not have to go to boots to get Echinacea; there are other brands and you can find Echinacea in health food shops. ***IS ECHINACEA ONLY FOR COLDS AND FLU?***
... ...***EASE OF USE***
Boots Echinacea Tincture is easy to use. You simply take up to 5mls (a day) in a glass of water or juice. The lid of the bottle has a long tube on it with a measurement guide. You squeeze the top of the rubber lid and 'suck' the tincture into the tube, you then add the Tincture to your drink. Echinacea should be used for a period of two weeks followed by a break of two weeks.
***TASTE***
Echinacea has a subtle herbal taste. If ...

Boots Chewable Vtamin C;To boost your immunity
Advantages: tastes good,affordable,no artificial flavours/preservatives,no apparent side effects Disadvantages: not available in small package
The scientific facts about Vitamin C:- Vitamin C(Ascorbic acid), is an essential nutrient, not synthesised internally in human beings.It is an antioxidant and is essential for collagen synthesis and so required for healing .Even though human beings are not able to synthesise Vitamin C,we can manage with lower levels in the diet by recycling oxidised Vitamin C.
Practical aspects:- I took 1000mg tab once a day, for a period of 5 days to ward off the ... ...escaped the flu despite having a patient in the family(my husband had contracted the flu from his work place.). As per the doctor's advice I gave him also the same dose for 1 week.
His flu subsided in 2 days though mild sympyoms were persisting for 5 more days.The product's mild tangy taste is really good, tastes less like a medicine.It did'nt have any side effects like diarrhoea for us.
Pros:-affordable,taste is good,no artificial flavours/preservatives,no ...
