BioCare Calcium Plus - very poor product
Review of BioCare Calcium Plus - With Magnesium And Vitamins A D And K by
MaccMum
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: doesn't mix well in liquid, no refunds given
I bought a tub of Biocare Calcuim Plus directly from BioCare. It was expensive, but I don't mind that if I'm getting a good quality product. Unfortunately 'good' and 'quality' are not words I'd associate with this product.
The instructions on the packet are to mix 1 teaspoon with some liquid. Sounds simple enough, but the trouble is, no matter how hard I tried, the grainy powder would not mix in properly, it became a soggy grainy mess and sank to ... ...to note is that although BioCare recommend 1 heaped teaspoon per day, this only provides 200mg of calcium. Now, calcium requirements vary according to age and gender. My 9 year old son for example would need about 1300mg, a younger child might only need 800mg, but either way, if you are relying on this supplement alone for calcium, you would need between 4 and 6 teaspoons per day.
I contacted BioCare for advise, but even they admitted that "As we ...

cnp promass
Review of CNP Pro Mass by
jonboy76
Advantages: bulk up
Disadvantages: can get love handles
This is a great product and with Dorian Yates associated with the company there's no more needed to be said. This product is good value for money and actually tastes really good I recommend the strawberry flavour from personal experience. It also mixes really good with no clumping. Top tip is to put the water in the shaker first and add the protein after. Another thing is this protein caused no stomach cramps and not too much excess gas unlike some ...

excellent product, a cold cure at last
Review of Now Foods Echinacea by
nicnncha
Advantages: help to stop colds
Disadvantages: none
Having always suffered from terrible colds, that last weeks and complete depress me, I was given a tub of echinacea by a friend. I always take vitamin c drinks, but though they have some help they never taken a cold away, just made it more bearable, so i wasnt expecting much.
The echinacea themselves are a tiny little tablet, and it is suggested to take one a day. Anyway, one day im feeling abit low and i can feel my throat sore, and i think what ... ...I was fine, and whenever i have had the feelings of a cold, if i take one of these tablets everyday until i feel normal, the cold never develops, it is quite amazing actually. If you suffer from colds, my advice would be to get some of this tablets. They are very cheap to buy and have really helped me, and though i dont take these everyday as i know some do, they work a treat when my immune system is down. One last thing, the tablets taste a little ...

Cant say it helped me at all!
Review of Roche Berocca by
SamanthaPerry
Advantages: Tastes nice
Disadvantages: Expensive
I will be honest with you and tell you about the first time I ever tried Berocca. It was after my crazy hen weekend in Blackpool, I consumed so much alcohol that I thought I was suffering from alcohol poisoning, I literally could not get out of bed for three days afterwards. I started to worry slightly as a few days later I was due to fly to Paphos to get married and I was worrying that I would never be able to get out of bed!!!
Then along cam my ... ...medications to get me on the road to recovery!!! One of the items she bought me was a box of Berocca, I have to say that I had never heard of it before but it states on the box that they are tailored vitamins and essential minerals for hectic lifestyles, so I was willing to give it a try. For a tube of 15 tablets it cost £3.99, so was quite expensive but I didn't care how much it cost as long as it made me feel better!!!
The tube of tablets comes ...

De-stress with Kalms
Review of Kalms by
dbarcl10
Advantages: Help you cope with stress of everyday life
Disadvantages: None
I first discovered Kalms about 15 years ago when my GP recommended them to me to help me cope with a fear of flying. Being about 10 years old at the time, the doctor wasn't keen on giving me drugs, but recommended that I try Kalms as they are entirely herbal.
The normal dose is 2 tablets three times day with water after meals. The doctor recommended however that I took only 1 tablet due to my age. I've always found the tablets easy to swallow as ... ...a plane, I start taking Kalms a day or two in advance, and although I'm probably over my fear now, I like the reassurance they offer me.
There have also been a number of times over the past few years that things have started to get on top of me, and feeling a bit stressed out, I've started taking Kalms for a few days at a time to help me relax and sleep. Kalms are non-drowsy, but they do help you get a good nights sleep by relieving the stress that ...
