Advantages: Dig out levels of details unheard on most mini systems
Disadvantages: Can't cut the mustard against separates systems

...I've had many headphones, and my Vivancos have lasted longer than most, and they give you performance far better than you have a right to expect for the £25 price tag. They are light and quite well built, but comfortable. Put them on, and on many systems, the sound will astound you. On a decent mini system, they will dig out details that you didn't know existed. Connect them to most separates systems though, and you will wonder why you bothered. Bass is deep and fairly tight without having to touch the bass control on the amp, in fact turning the bass up can result in a fairly unpleasant sensation. Treble is fairly crisp, but this depends on what you are used to. If you spent £300 on your entire system, the Vivancos are not a bad buy. If you spent £300 on just one component of your system, then you had better look elsewhere.... Read review

...Vivanco may not be the most well known name in Hifi but these headphones are quite popular, I've seen them used on the music terminals in shops like HMV. They mainly designed for use with mini systems which is exatly what I have used mine for. Personally I think the sound quality is of fairly good quality and only starts to suffer when turned up really loud. The closed design gives them good bass but does stop them from such an open natural sound as some of the more expensive Senheiser headphones. For long periods these headphones are very comfortable and the only problem I have is that my ears start to get too hot after a while. For the price they are good value so I would deffinately reccommend them.... Read review
