This movie has everything a little girl could wish for in a movie.Faries, a beautiful heroine, a handsome prince, a magical unicorn, and a happily ever after ending. Many of you will no doubt be familiar with the Barbie movies. This is no poor second. It is a nice little song filled story of bravery, true love, and friendship.
The Film
It is Christmas, and Tom and his sister Molly put their new toys (a prince and a Sindy doll) into different parts of Molly's Sindy house before going to bed. Background - Angelina Ballerina is the wanna' be prima ballerina character created by Katherine Holabird.
The idea for the characters came from her experiences as a mother of two young daughters and as a nursery school teacher. She says most of the stories are inspired by family experiences and situations.
The first book was published way back in 1983 and she was joined by Helen Craig who provided the beautiful illustrations that have become part of the charm of Angelina.
Upon animating the first book "The big performance", recently won three oppenheim toy portfolio platinum awards for the 150 minute television special.
