This is my first opinion so I decided to write about something I know.
I have had my vivitar camera for about a year now and am really pleased. I have not read the instruction manual and was able to start using it for my needs imediately, simply a case of putting in the batteries and memory card and away I went.
The software was easy to install and very simple to use.
As a novice to the digital world and not really the next David Bailey this suited my needs perfectly. I doesn't have millions of buttons, it has a built in flash and zoom features - there may be a few more but like I said I haven't read the manual.
You can take pictures using the viewfinder or using the Display screen, and once you've taken them if you don't like them you can delete them straight away.
The only downside that I've had is that it uses batteries quite quickly but other than that a deffinite bargain.
I was on the edge of a Helpful and Fairly Helpful rating for this op. It is quite short but gives a lot of useful information, just a little more would have been that little bit better, like the price, etc. It is very well set out and easy to read and for that as well I tipped it over the edge and hit the H button!

Welcome to Ciao! I agree with the earlier comments; a little more info on the camera itself - is it heavy, bulky, what other options does it offer other than point-and-click? What resolution is it? What's the software that it comes with? How much did you pay for it, and did you get any extras or have to buy anything additional? I'm sure that as you read and write more Ciao! opinions, you'll get into the swing of things quickly - even now, I'm still learning!
