We bought this camera about a year ago and are very pleased with it in general. The picture quality is good, and although it only comes with a 8mb disc you can purchase larger capacity discs at a reasonable cost. The camera itself is lightweight and relatively easy to use, if you are used to computer menus that is.
It is possible to change the picture quality (number of pixels) which means you can get more photos on your disc but from experience I have found that it is best to have the camera set to the maximum to avoid disappointment. I am quite computer literate but must admit that I have trouble finding my way around the menus on this camera at times but I do like the way it tells you how many pictures you have left before either the disc is full or your battery runs out. You get ample warning of battery failure as well which is good because if you are like me, and forget to take the batteries out when not in use, this camera eats batteries so I always carry spares.
The one thing I have problems with is deleting unwanted photos. It is easy enough to do this through the computer but when you are away from home, and need to free up some disc space you have to use the delete option on the camera. We find it difficult to work, when the YES or NO option comes up and we press the button for delete it doesn’t work properly and toggles between the two, invariably we end up losing photos we wanted to keep, which is annoying. To get round this problem we have bought a 32mb disc and take this with us. Unless you are going on a mega holiday this should be ample. In London last year we took over 140 pictures and edited the rubbish ones out when we got home.
A good, cheap digital for your average user.

Good review. A bit more detail on features would help for me. My first ever digital camera was a vivitar (4 years ago, would you believe)...John

Good review, But I have to say this camera sounds like a step backwards for me. So thanks for the warning :)
