Bought this camera around one and a half years ago, has been perfect for family holidays, school trips, evenings out and overall brilliant for those who want good quality pictures. However there are disadvantages, such as the follwing facts: if you turn on the camera once it has no battery it switches off with the lens still open. This is very bad if you do not have extra batteries on you at the time as the lens could easily be scratched. Also the batteries do not last for a long time. Personally I would recommend buying a camera which you recharge instead of using batteries for. Even using rechargable batteries it does not last as long. Additionally the internal memory on the camera is shokcingly low - it only holds around 6 pictures on the high resloution. I would recommend buying a newer camera.

Advantages: This is a compact easy to use camera with all the features that someone new to digital cameras would find simple to master. Disadvantages: In my opinion only professinal users would find disadvantages. The common to most digital camera faults is the shutter delay, ie you can miss what you actually see by "micro seconds".
