Advantages: Cheap, simple to use, still good quality Disadvantages: Lack of design
...Usually i would buy a more expensive brand of higher quality such as a kodak or fujitsu or sony however, i have experience with vivitar cameras before and i knew that they were good for their money. So i decided to buy a 5 megapixel camera and didnt expect too much from them. However, these expectations were soon quashed as i was amazed at how good the camera actually was for the price. I paid £45 including P+P and from this price, the picture quality was fantastic, zoom was very good, ease of use was simple and user friendly, using the software which accompanied the camera was also simple to use and transfer files.
If your looking for a good camera for a low price then this is the camera for you. It is great for quick snaps or even quality photography....

Advantages: Very easy to use for a novice photographer Disadvantages: Low on battery power
...This is the first "good" camera that I've ever owned. I usually get those cheap disposable cameras and I would ALWAYS forget to get the filmed developed. So, I figured that it was time to upgrade and get a digital camera. For 2.11 megapixels, this camera is a good buy. It's compact and very easy to use. The picture quality is pretty good. Check out vivitar.com and you'll see pictures that were taken with this camera; the picture quality isn't bad at all. The camer is compact and easily fits in a purse or jacket pocket. If you're not looking to spend a fortune on a good camera, this would be a good choice for you. Also, there are no drivers to install on your computer and it comes with PhotoSuite and PhotoVista....

I completely agree with the reviewer above! If this camera was a person I'd probably have to murder it. I did not have the problem with the flash but the camera takes about five seconds before it even realises you have pressed the shutter button and then more
I had nearly £40 worth of Amazon vouchers built up from my on-line activities with various Internet affiliate programs I belong to. And when I had one of their promotion e-mails I thought it was about time I used some of them up. I was particularly... more
I bought this for a reasonable £40 off eBay for the simple reason I decided it would soon pay for itself, and it has.

So there's a conundrum.
I got a nice new shiny underwater camera for Christmas, and I have been itching to try it out and post a review of it.
There's a snag: I could take a picture of myself in the bath, which would lead to all kinds of... more
After scouring the Argos catalogue for weeks, I finally settled on the Vivitar Vivicam X30, and I am so glad I did! I was dubious at first, as I can imagine some people would be, but I eventually bought it, and I wouldn’t be without it now!
