Advantages: Free voicemail Disadvantages: The lost goes On&On
Yes everything you hear about one2one is true!
The service is awful and the only thing worse than having this would be a pager.
I used to have this on the standard tariff, calls cost 30p for the first 5 minutes and 5p thereafter, fair enough, if the phone could receive a signal.
The serivce is down 1 out of 10 days, which is annoying if you want to find out how much credit you have. However the service is okay, but very slow, you can have info like credit, when your voucher will expire etc etc. By the way your voucher is everlasting but you got to make/receive a call like once every half a year or so, which is fair enough.
I am sure you know by now, One2One is the worse mobile company in the UK, for example reception is awful and you cannot even pick up signals where others merrily chat away.
I can only praise One2One ...

In the days when mobiles where still rather expensive, well it was 1999 actually, I was in my first year of college, and having spent numerous months ringing everywhere to find out what time I was coming home my mother decided I needed something she could contact me on. I begged for a mobile, but me old budge said it would be too expensive, hence the birth of a pager into the family!
Just in case you are unclear, a pager looks a bit like a tiny tiny calculator (without the numbers), it’s cordless and it can be used to receive digitised messages sent by radio... if you’re still unclear – watch Casualty next week, all the docs have them slapped on their belts (because they don’t interfere with hospital equipment in the ways that mobile phones do), and conveniently make a loud beeping noise whenever there’s ...
Advantages: Getting email on the go. Disadvantages: Takes a long time to type responses.
When I first got this product I was really excited to be using the first of its type on the market. All-in-all it was not a bad product. The SkyTel 2-way pager enables people to email messages to your pager, and allows you to respond. There is a small "mouse" on the top which allows you to scroll through the alphabet to write your message. This takes a long time. It would be much quicker with a cell phone, and the same price. You certainly could NOT respond while in the car (maybe if you use some of the pre-wrtten responses like "Yes", "No", "Caught in traffic", but even then it's still difficult). Newer 2-way pagers are on the market that have a little keyboard on the top, and they look much easier to use. Instead of having to take the time to scroll through letters - you can type on the mini-keyboard. I was in L.A. at the time ...
