As I have said Vodka Mudshake comes in two flavours caramel and chocolate and I would think will come increasingly available. I paid 98 pence for mine so I felt that was a real bargain. I can imagine these would retail for about £2 in a fancy bar.

What is Vodka Mudshake?

I have also drunk milk and cream based cocktails in bars and have even had a vodka milkshake in Revolutions Vodka Bar. The packaging
The come in 275 ml clear glass bottles with screw tops. I thought this was good as you did not have to drink all of it right away but it would make it easier for teenagers to drink it on the street. The label is metallic red and gives the alcohol content which is 5%, the brewers details and how to serve (serve chilled and shake before drinking). I t also has an 18 sign on it to make sure people know it is alcoholic I am now going to discuss the two flavours separately
Chocolate Mudshake
This is a light brown in appearance. When I opened the bottle I had a quick sniff before I drank it. It smelled really artificial. It reminded me of the syrup used in Crusha milkshake.
The taste test
The milkshake was really smooth and quite creamy the consistency was not too bad. It was neither thin nor too thick. . The chocolate flavour was quite nice and not too overpowering. The vodka was just right as there was a kick but it did not overpower it. I quite liked this
Cameral Mudshake
This was a lighter colour than the chocolate one. The smell reminded me of the caramel supreme desserts you get, as did the taste. It also reminded me of the cream you get on sticky toffee Pavlova. It was a stronger more distinctive flavour than the chocolate one and I felt it had a rougher rawer taste. The vodka was apparent. Both of the mudshakes were nice but I do not think I could drink more than one or two at a push as they were quite filling and were very sweet almost to a point of being sickly. It is the type of drink that everyone will try once just for the sheer novelty factor
My suggestion for these is as a mixer for a nice boozy coffee or hot chocolate. They might be good to have one in the house for this alone!
I do have concerns over them being linked to underage drinking. I feel that they will be marketed to the youngest drinkers, as Mudshake sounds fun. I am worried that these would promote under age drinking more than any other alcopop.
Would I buy this product again?
Yes I might buy it again especially if I was making boozy coffee. However I do not think I would buy them regularly and I certainly would not buy them in a club or drink more than a couple of them. It is a novelty product and I am not sure how long it will last.

Vodka Mudshakes are made by the Australasian based Independent Distillers Group who have been trading here in the UK for the past couple of years. The group’s marketing niche tends to be the Alco pop range with other products such as Everglades - a schnapps based drink, The Vodka Twistee - a two in one drinking ... ...to mind! Vodka Cruisers which appear to be a Vodka based Bacardi Breezer type drink and of course the wonderful Mudshakes!
After a night drinking nothing but Mudshakes and not having an evil hangover and given the number I had I should have had one god awful hangover I was on a mission to find some Mudshakes for home use! I first tried the Vodka Mudshake in the banana flavour whilst on holiday in Newquay and I paid £3.15 for a 270ml bottle. Yes I know I was ripped-off, but hey, I was on holiday!
I then went to the local Safeways where I found it for 98p a 270ml bottle and on a buy two get one free deal!
There are four different flavours available:
Banana - chalky yellow in colour, I bought it by mistake in the bar and I don't even like bananas but it tasted delicious, ... ...that the mix of the vodka spirit with a milk-based product would be slightly offputting as I would think the contents might separate but I haven't witness this as yet. But then I thought of Dooley's and Baileys and remembered that they are quite nice and don't seem to have any problems!
The consistency of the Mudshakes is good, no lumps, it is smooth but not to thick and not to thin to be confused with the consistency of most alcopops. It slides ...

...drink I'm talking about is Vodka Mudshake. As I was a first time buyer, and liked what I saw, thought I would treat myself.
I can't remember the exact price I paid, but I know it was nearly the £2 I paid for a 270 ml bottle of this drink. I was taken aback for a second as I didn't think they were so dear. Oh well, it's too late now. The bottle had been opened, and all I could do now was sit back and drink it.
The bottles are clear see though glass ... ...flavour, I could taste little vodka in this. And the alcohol content is the same.
I was, however, in Asda today. I had a shock when I saw these in sale in there. As they are ONLY £0.98p a bottle in there! It's certainly a lot different that the pubs! So I bought myself a couple of bottles today. Buying these today was what prompted me into writing about them tonight.
Well, I'm still sober, and I'm still sitting up typing away! But, what is my summary ...

Vodka Mudshake - chocolate/caramel
What a great marketing concept to help inebriate the Busted-generation of beverage buyers, and tanked-up tarts (like me) - alcoholic milkshake.
I love the concept. It could even be what cows were invented for!
I first took on the caramel flavour, which is like an iced-coffee, ideal for a summer evening.
The taste is sweet and satisfying, with no real kick, which means it doesn’t taste alcoholic.
(Logically ... ...fun - get a cow drunk on vodka coffees before milking. Now there’s a thought!

They can be bought from Somerfield, Tesco and Morrisons and am sure many other supermarkets stock them at the very reasonable price of approximately £1.29 and for this price you get yourself a 200ml mudshake at 4%ABV.
The drink was originally imported from New Zealand and has been a great hit ... ...shakes with a bit of vodka thrown in and I am a fan of milkshakes however if you are not accustomed to sickly drinks this may not be the drink for you!

I know what your thinking. "Alchoholic milshakes? is he mad?" Well no im not mad and whats more they are quite nice.
I do like a drink every now and again. I try not to go mad of course, but there are times when i do go over the top. We all do, but as a rule i try to just have the odd one or two.
I have to thank my wife for introducing me to these. She does not drink very often, but every once in a while she does partake. Normally after her boss has really wound her up at work.

First Impressions:
When I first heard of a mudshake I thought it sounded pretty awful. I must admit it can be really sickly if you drink it fast, so it's one of those drinks not to have if you've had a bit too much because it's pretty likely to make you sick.
What flavours can I get it in?
At our local shop it's available in three different flavours, but I have also been informed that it comes in more flavours than this, they are; Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate, but I have been told Caramel, coconut, banana and others also, yum. I must admit I tend to stick to strawberry and vanilla because chocolate is very sickly, but if you're a fan of any of them flavours of milkshake then you'll enjoy a mudshake in the same flavour! - Just beware of the after taste.

pleased with what I tasted. The fizz in the drink is definately there. Along with the taste of the grapefruit and pineapple. The two flavours are mixed well together. The pineapple flavour overshadows the bitter taste of the grapefruit really well. Although you can taste the grapefruit clearly.
I did enjoy drinking this. It was a nice experience to taste a refreshing drink that went down a treat. Yesterday I was on the old chocolate vodkamudshakes! Today I'm on Lilt. Well, I'll be switching between the two, three if you include cola too!
