Voice of the Gods is the last in the Trudi Canavan trilogy - Age of The Five, and because of that I strongly recommend that you read the revious two books; Priestess of the White and Last of the Wilds. This book does refer to them often and regularly, and it would set you up for this book should you read them in advance. It will also help you to understand and empathise with the characters more. As far as fantasy goes, this is one of my all time favourites, and to anyone who hasn't read it already, my advice would be- run down to your local bookstore, break open your piggy bank and BUY IT!! or just buy it off Ciao. I would strongly recommend reading the first two, as this is the third part of a trilogy and would probably give the game away if you were to read it first :D This book has everything you want from a good fantasy- war, magic, ...
