Having 2 kids and a dog we finally admitted we needed a proper family car, so having a VW Golf that we were very happy with and hearing good things of the Touran we decided to look into getting one. VW Touran

Advantages: Solid
Disadvantages: Small boot when using 7 seats

I bought a brand new Touran in November 2007. I liked the new model better beause of the shape of the lights. This is a very solid and comfortable car. It is easy to get in and out of including with children. I think it is Economical to run I get about 450 miles around town on a full tank of diesel. It has 6 gears for longer steady driving. A really flexible car!

Advantages: Handles like a car not a van.
Disadvantages: Poor rear visibility for short people when parking

We've had this car for over a year now and it really is flexible enough for everything we want to do. The extra seats fold flat in the boot space and so are always available for unexpected extra people. The three seats in the middle row are all removable to give a large loading space for trips to Ikea, the DIY store or garden centre. However the space created is not level, the area where the seats have been removed is lower than the rest of the boot ...

Car from Hell

Advantages: Drives well when working, storage and design
Disadvantages: Electronics, too much cabling too close too seats

Drinks like the big lady it is

Advantages: Nice looking car
Disadvantages: Gas guzzler

I took this car out for a test drive to put my wife off buying one...but i really enjoyed it. It was a 2.0 dark blue with white leather interior, 6 cd changer and air con. I bought it on finance and traded in my 1.1 peugeot 206. The differances between the two cars was immense. Handling better, speed better, looks better. I think i was more impressed with it than my wife! The one fault i can pick with the Beetles is that they are gas guzzlers. ...
