Volvo s60 T5 SE
Advantages: Very fast, luxrious, vast space, extremely reliable. Disadvantages: Can wear tyres if driven hard often.
...second to non. My second Volvo now and its fantastic. The spec inside is incredible, full leather, electronic memory movement and heated seats, dual climate control front and rear, cruise control, 4 disc Cd changer with steering mounted control, electronic trip and information center displays every little bit of info you require about your journey, from boot not closed to front headlamp failure or seatbelts not on. the list goes on and on. Performance ... ...can think of due to a 0-62mph time of 6.1 seconds, all in a car with beautifully understated sleek line, and on to a restricted speed of 155mph. More incredibly with those figures you can easily return 35mpg on a long motorway jouney, in the pleasure of a luxurious and very quiet cabin. ...

Under-rated, excellent value - and over here !
Advantages: smooth quiet solid reliable comfortable swift user-friendly Disadvantages: poor turning circle "image"of Volvo
Forget Beemers, Audidoodies and the Mercroundthe Benz's this car is so preferable to it's counterpart in those competing ranges. The S60 is one of those motoring secrets. I happened upon it by accident, went for a test drive when i had nothing better to do and was instantly sold. It's a fabulous ride and I also enjoy driving with a bit of brio - it will let me do that to my satisfaction too.
This is such and under-rated car - but not by me. I have ... ...missed a beat. Perhaps that is not uncommon in a modern car but the experience has not been tiring even. After 700 miles + in a day across the continent I felt no need to stagger out of the car and into bed. Quiet, smooth, effortless.
Buy one now !!!! ...

What a car
Advantages: Very comfortable and good performance. Fabulous build Quality. Nice looks Disadvantages: Poor turning circle. Volvo "tank" image.
This is my second one of these beauties and i cant see myslef changing from them. Bulit to last and they are so smooth. Havnt really got anything bad to say, by far the best car ive ever owned! Everytime i drive this car i am shocked by how smooth yet fast and grippy it is. Good handling without the bad ride. The fuel consumption isnt great but if you have one of these you shouldnt really care! The interior is solid and looks nice with all the possible ...

Good - but not the best Volvo S60
Advantages: Style, performance, comfort, good economy for performance, well built Disadvantages: Not S60 prime model
...and I) really wanted a Volvo S60, but not as it happens, this the most powerful 220bhp 2.4 litre T5 Sport version. 15 years ago I would have not looked at a Volvo fullstop. However if the S60 had then been on the market, this the fastest one would have been my natural choice. Maturity and certain financial commitments now mean that I am inclined to make far more rational choices when it comes to choosing a car, no matter if I pay for it, or is currently ... ...stock.
How does a Volvo S60 review fall in with the above thinking? Well Volvo are actually a highly enlightened company when it comes to power choices for their stylish upper-mid range four door saloon. There are three choices of petrol engines, starting at a perfectly adequate 180bhp 2.0 litre (31.7mpg average consumption - pretty good), through a 217bhp 2.5 litre (31mpg) to this the 220bhp 2.4 litre, which according to Volvo will still average ...

Understated Excellance!
Advantages: Quality, Comfortable ride, Looks Disadvantages: Volvo Image, poor turning circle
The Volvo S60 does not conform to the traditional view of Volvo's - yes, it's safety features were high on the list of priorities when designed, but unlike Volvo's of the past, the S60 is also good looking, stylish, and handles extremely well. The 2.4TD (diesel) engine is smooth, very quiet and never feels underpowered. The official performance figures are 0-60 mph in 9.5 secs and a top speed of 130 mph. But where the S60 diesel really stands out ... ...excellent option, although like most Volvo options it is not particularly cheap. The automatic gearbox is very smooth and you hardly notice the gear changes, making for a very relaxing drive, but if you do fancy a slightly more sporty drive, you can make use of the 'geartronic' feature. This basically means, by slipping the gear lever to the left, you can change gear manually - push it forwards and it changes up a gear, or towards you to change down. ...
