I Took delivery of this car on the 13th Dec 2002. The car was spotless. It is a black S60 model SE. I work as a senior ambulance officer. The car was then taken to our Ambulance Workshops. It was then fitted with Blue Lights behind the Grill Alternating Headlights that flash, rear blue and red strobes on the rear shelf and a magnetic blue lamp for the roof. It was also fitted with a hands free VHF radio and a VDO Dayton Sat Nav system. The reason for the fititng of the sat nav was that the volvo option was £3000 and the VDO was £1200. This was quite a saving so it was decided that it would be better . Finally the car was fitted with a 100 watt siren . The switched were fitted neatly below the heating controls. The car its self also has electronic seats with memory. The seats are leather and heated. The car has automatic transmission not bad for a diesel. The engine is a 5 cylinder and has 2300 Horse power. It has a maximum speed of 140 mph and 0 to 60 in about 8 seconds. This car really can shift when it wants to. It has ABS and Traction control. This is very useful when the car is pushed to its limits. The car rembers who you are by the remote control. IE I use mine the seat moves to my postion. If my wife uses her remote the seat moves to her postion. This is great as it is really irritating when you get in the car and have to keep moving the seats. Even though I have to drive the car hard in my work it delivers over 40 mpg. The car has an on board computer to give you loads of info such as instant MPG overall MPG average speed , distnace of fuel left. All faults are listed ie if a bulb is out or a door is not closed properly. It has 12 air bags which is handy but you could get suffocated by air bag in an accident. !!!!! The rear seat has a flap so that long items in the boot can be passed into the car area for easy transport. The car has loads of lights all arounf the vehicle. The alloys are great and the low profile tyres make driving a pleasure. The car has a great low profile which reduce wind noise to nothing. With the climate control and the power steering the car is really a pleasure to drive. I can honeslty say that this car is one of the best I have ever driven .It realy feels a safe car .

Great review, confirms everything I thought about this car, wish we could have afforded one but the Honda Accord Diesel is nearly as good and much cheaper to run.

Advantages: Refined engine, excellent ride and handling, superb seats and driving position Disadvantages: Interior trim rattles, dissapointing fuel consumption.
