also volvo give you volvo assistance if you do breakdown for the first 3 years with a brand new car but i dont think youd will use it this is my second brand new volvo and i havent had any problems at all.
i personally think the car speaks for its self and it definatly sells its self to who ever can afford it.

...drive. Many people think that Volvo cars are boring, boxy and safe - well two out of three isn't bad - it sure is safe. It ia a luxury car that transports you huge distances in total comfort - my record is 650 miles from Italy to Holland in one day. Leather seats, air-conditioning, a great sound system and sensibly placed controls all contribute to making any drive a real pleasure. I have - touch wood - had no breath of a problem in a three year ... ...not too high. In short I would recommend this car to anyone who like a comfy seat and covers a lots of miles. The only thing likely to change model is the new Volvo XC90 but I'll have to wait until there is a decent second hand market. ...

Advantages: Safe, smooth, relaxing Disadvantages: Expensive to maintain
Having owned an S80 for a couple of years I can report the following:
The car is pleasant to drive. It is very relaxing, the comfort levels are top notch and the whole experience leaves one feeling fresh even after long drives.
Fast approaching the 100,000 mile mark the car shows no signs of flagging. The motor (the 170bhp model) is effortless and the suspension smoother than the sportier S60 models. With reasonable driving the fuel consumption ... ...driving will see this take a nose dive!
This is a big car - if you travel on narrow roads or have limited parking this may not be the car for you.
The servicing costs are somewhat greater than any other car I have owned, but the onboard computer is a reassurance that there are no nasty problems going unnoticed.
As a second hand purchase the S80 is a bargain. It is definitely executive class, whilst most second hand users in this class go for BMW ...

...I like the way that Volvo has progressed from its boxy tank shaped like beginnings. It has improved a lot in the design in that it has inculcated curves which look aerodynamic and give it a much classier look. They have kept the cockpit like console in the front (imagine what a plane looks like) for easy navigating to swtiches. In this, it is sensible and functional yet stylish in a simple manner. There is a built in phone in the car which allows ... ...from 140bhp which is a bit sluggish up to 272bhp which is rapid
However, I would still recommend this car because it is a smooth ride and very safe. Safety is always the most essential feature in the car. As the slogan goes, Volvo for life.
