If you use an estate because you require space for family etc, but still want to have sports car performance then this car is ideal. Running at 200BHP the car easily has enough torque and power to be able to match any performance car.
The car itself is a solid drive whilst still giving off a comfortable cruise. Suspension is nice and solid both on motorways and around town.
The bad point however is, for a pratical car fuel economy is not the best at around 30 miles to the gallon combined.
I have owned one for 3 years, other than service work no problems. Quality Volvo build!
If buying used check car for condition on paint work and interior as some can be neglected.

A lot more info here would be good to know. I recently got a diamond award for my 440 - Ive test driven a few V40s too the most impressive being the Mitsubishi engined 125bhp I.8 GDI engined one. Found the T4 too gruff even if it was the top model. Build quality on the S40/V40 a major improvement on the 400 series but not enough for most Which? car owners who found it to be disappointing. Welcome to Ciao. If you update any info, let me know. Nar
