Disadvantages: none
...a random tune.
Vtech are a great company for educational toys, and they've got a success on their hands with this toy. I've just bought one for my niece who turns one soon. The toy is recommended for up to 3 years, and I'd say there's enough in this toy to keep preschoolers (and older!) happy for a long time. ...

Vtec Discovery Tree
Review of VTech Discovery Tree by

Advantages: Educational and Fun
Disadvantages: None that I can think of
My little boy was given one of these for his first birthday last year. I’m quite surprised that he is still playing with it almost everyday as the majority of toys that he has, he has tended to play it for the first few days and then abandon it and then return to it a few months later. As this was given as a present I was unsure of the price but I didn’t imagine it would be cheap. I was correct as a few months later I spotted it in Mothercare ... ...safely guess that this toy is in the shape of a tree. It is roughly about a foot tall, a foot across and about 8 inches wide. The top of the tree where the crown is, it is in a green colour as is the base; I’m assuming this is supposed to be grass. The tree trunks are in an orangey colour with a yellow slide attached to the top, left half and a blue slide attached to the bottom, right half. A swinging tyre is also attached to the branch on ...

Discover the Delights
Review of VTech Discovery Tree by
lilpoos_mum
Advantages: bright, colourful, educational, loads of fun
Disadvantages: none
...enough! As with all vtech products, a lot of thought and time has been put into this toy.
Standing about 1' high and 1' across in a very attractive tree design (obviously).
The main colours are green and orange with a yellow and blue slide, red swing and clear, coloured piano keys, which light up as you press them or the tunes are played, and a yellow foot. This foot can be depressed so the ball will pop back up and roll down the slide again.
... ...Includes 5 different coloured balls to push down the tree top, rolling down the slide, merrily making a different noise as they roll along, to land on the keys and play a tune, then pop onto the foot, finally coming to rest round the back on a track.
Get this....the balls have the ability to recognise their own different functions!!!!
Blue for tunes, red, yellow, orange and green all do different things including colours, numbers, letters and animals. ...

Advantages: learns on different levels
Disadvantages: none
I bought this for my daughter when she was 15 months old and she loves this but the only things is the balls didnt last long until they were lost and have only one left and believe me i have looked for these lol.
This is a great toy full of colour and lots to do the balls when are place through the top of the tree and are magical picked up and tell you what each ball is put the red ladybird teaches numbers when you press the key buttons, the orange ... ...yellow bee introduces letters while the green frog talks and has lots of sound effects and the blue bird is musical.
Pull out the giggling squirrel from the trunk to stop the ball rolling down…and other surprises! 6 hotspots of interaction on the tree slide react with different talking phrases and sound effects for each ball. Apple buttons on the tree provide additional themed fun and learning. Light-up piano keys at the bottom for music fun.

Keeping all our balls in the air
Review of VTech Discovery Tree by
alicebetts
Advantages: Fun for both our baby and toodler
Disadvantages: Balls flying everywhere
...generously presented us with the Vtech Discovery Tree. My initial dismay at yet another overly large garishly coloured platic montrosity was quickly replaced by relief as I watched my older daughter (who is nearly four) sit down for the first time with her little sister and properly play with her, working out how it worked. They both absolutely love it. All the five differently coloured balls are supposed to be different animals and bugs and each ... ...workings of the little keyboard at the bottom changing it from letters, to numbers to musical notes. The balls are pushed down through the top of the tree and whirl down the slide passing through the tree trunk and out a little door, over the keyboard and onto a little springboard. The child can then flip the ball up and start all over again.
Our youngest does keep trying to use it to pull herself up and we have had a few heart in mouth moments ...
