Levels 2 and 3 are slightly harder, 1 or 2 letters will appear on the screen with there phonic sound and will then disappear, you then have to press the correct letter on your keyboard as to what you saw on your screen. 2. Letter names
3. Alphatastic fun

This is a great toy for all young children whos parents want to give them that little head start before they reach school age, my little girl uses hers daily and it really is amazing just watching her pick up so many new things each day. So now learing can be fun.

Advantages: covers basics and progresses up to about age 7/8 Disadvantages: young ones need help in selecting activities, and some guidance
My son is nearly 4 and he had this laptop for Christmas. Obviously, he can only do the very basics on it at the moment and covers a wide age range and multitude of activities.
It is suitable from 3 and a half and the basics include using the mouse (moving it and clicking it on words) - the laptop comes with a mouse and a mousepad. Also it teaches basic phonic sounds for children learning their alphabet.
It has a keyboard part at the bottom, where ... ...He really enjoys this and has bought his number skills on greatly.
There are about 20 activities on it, and teaches you all the basic letter sounds and variations. Some of which I have never heard of - diagraphs for example!!!
There are letter, word and number games too. There are basic graphics, not stunning, but the little ones seem to like them. The womans voice is English and not American, but talks rather "plummy".
The cost of this was about ...

HI!
My son is very great fan of pixar cars. Since September he is doing great at school. He is in year one and already he try to write a sentences. So I thought to help him with his school work will be a great idea to buy him a laptop.
I had a look in Argos book and saw the lighting McQueen version and I was so please because that it is his favourite toy. So went in bought it. Cost me just over £26.
When my son saw it he was very exited about it (that he has got his own computer).
Now the laptop.
The laptop is shape of lighting McQueen from pixar cars. Is red with cheeky smiley face with four black wheels.
After you lift the lid you will see three characters - doc, mater and Luigi. Orange on/off switch, three category buttons, volume slider, contrast slider, repeat slider, demo button, ten blue numbers buttons, 20 six yellow ...

Well we all know V-Tech is highly recommended for helping children to learn while having fun so I expected this laptop to be very educational and was slightly worried that my daughter would not be able to figure it out. When we got it I was surprised at how easy it was to use and how much she enjoyed it straight away.
The lap top is of a decent size and even comes with its own little carry case, it is very strong and durable, my daughter has dropped her countless times and it still works a charm.
The keyboard has 3 keys with pictures of body parts on, 3keys with faces on and 3 keys with things that make a noise on, rather simple just the 9 keys. The keys make different noises depending what setting you have it on, to change the setting you just adjust the side tap to the desired setting. There are 3 function settings all together ...
Advantages: Educational, educational, Educational Disadvantages: The little sounds are annoying sometimes
My son Josh is nearly five and he is a little bit slow for his age, so I decided to look for an educational toy which would be fun and educational for him to play with. I was browsing through the Argos catalogue and spotted a VTech Challenger Laptop which is aimed at children between the ages of 4 and 7. The VTechLaptop wasn't expensive it only cost £24.99; I thought this was great value for money because it would help my son to learn numerical and language skills whilst having fun at the same time.
The Challenger Laptop has a similar shape and design as a normal laptop, the only difference is that it has a smaller screen which is black and white. The laptop is powered using three AA batteries which are supplied and fitted inside the laptop when you purchase it. You also have the option to buy an AC adaptor for the laptop which ...
