Ok I hate to remind you folks but Christmas is just round the corner, and the letters to santa will soon be written by our children etc. I bough this Vtech Learning Laptop for my youngest a couple of years ago. I bought it for a few reasons.

1. She was always wanting a go on my laptop
2. It was a good way for her to learn
3. It was made by Vtech which have a good name in these things

Tthis laptop is specially designed for chidren aged 3+ and is very easy for them to use. Its bright yellow colour catches the eye of your child straight away.

As soon as they switch it on you can hear it's lively music and see its flashing lights, I know my son was really intrigued with this he loved the noises that it made.

There are over 20 activities and games for your child to enjoy.

Spelling - It teaches them the simple words.

Sums - It teaches them simple arithmetic such as 1+1 etc

Spelling games where they have to spell words with the help of the laptop.

Adding games where the computer will say to them 2 dogs + 1 dog they have to get the answer but as they are thinking of this there are 3 dogs on the screen giving them the clue.

Guess the missing letter where the computer puts a word up and leaves out a letter then the child tries to guess the missing letter.

It is also fantastic for teaching your little ones the alphabet in a fun way.

I think this laptop was a great help in my daughers basic understanding of words and numbers when she first got it I sat with her for a while each day until she got the hang of it then she was off on her own. It was fantastic for me to watch her enjoying the world of numbers and letters. With the three different skill levels she was always discovering something new on it and would get all excited and come running to show me.

It costs around £17.99 from most good toy retailers. Its dimentions are 28x33x10cm which makes it small, compact and easy to carry around especially if you are going on holiday its so easy to fit it into your suitcase. It works on 4AA batteries.

If your child has one or you decide to purchase one for a child in your life I hope they have as much fun and enjoyment as my daugher had with hers.
