I don't like taking pain killers on a daily basis, so that ruled out the ibuprofen. I decided it might be an idea to find something that will support my elbow while I do tasks which make the pain worse, such as using the vacuum cleaner or carrying the shopping.

So I found myself in Boots and parted with £18.99 for an Elastoplast Tennis Elbow Support.
I was unaware Elastoplast made anything other than, er, elastoplasts, but they actually offer several sports injury products for joints, as I discovered on my visit to Boots.

This is a hard backed book ideal for using with infants to learn the parts of the body. It features the nursery rhyme with the same title.
The cover of the book is bright pink and features a baby stretching to reach his toes as well as a bunny rabbit touching his head, a pig touching his shoulders and teddy bear touching his knees.
Each page features a lovely, bright illustration of children touching the part of the body to go with the one word text on each page from the nursery rhyme, apart from page 5 which features 4 pictures of a little boy touching his head, then his shoulders, then his knees and then his toes. The book then features the eyes, ears and mouth and nose before finishing again with the 4 original positions.

Advantages: Gives you a new lease of life free from chronic pain. Disadvantages: The implants may need replacing meaning more surgery.
First of all I am surprised this category has not been filled and as I have actually had Knee Replacement surgery more or less a year ago now, they took it back when I had my leg amputated but I did have it done. Me being me of course I thought what the heck I am resting in hospital after my Hip Replacement so what better time and place is there for me to write some help and advice for anyone else facing this kind of surgery.
I have already written about my knee in a previous review but this one is very different I assure you. They say that time makes you think of things differently and I have to agree, I also wanted to have this advice in this category so that it is easy to find for anyone who needs it.
One other thing I have to mention is that my operation was done by the N.H.S and I had a 2 year wait.

The Vulkan 5mm Knee Free Support offers a contoured 3-piece design, with a comfortable fit. The patella free opening with a stitched buttress gives extra support to the patella and helps to deliver the optimum amount of pressure required. This high level of protection provides restricted movement to the patella, whilst also helping to relieve the pain of associated symptoms. It also aids unstable medial/lateral ligaments and cartilage damage. Made from neoprene material, this product also offers warmth and compression, whilst helping to speed up the process of rehabiliation. The support is suitable for injuries such as Chrondomalacia patella, Osgood Schlatters disease, acute and chronic knee conditions and overuse injuries such as tendonitis and bursitis. The support can be washed in a mild detergent in warm water. The front of the brace measures 29 cm in length with the back of the support measuring 25cm.
