    Advantages Advantages easy to use, lots of storage space, nice looking and a good speed

    Over the years I have amassed quite a collection of memory devices. By this I don’t mean device that help improve my mental memory, I mean device that help store things on so that I can keep things like images, videos, music and data safe and sound, safely knowing that I can access it at anytime, so long as I’ve got that particular memory device at hand at the time.     Disadvantages Disadvantages not especially fast - SATA internals won't suit older machines.

    The WD Elements Desktop WDBAAU0020HBK 2 TB is a ‘bog standard’ 3.5” SATA/USB external disk drive with a ‘plugtop’ power supply and USB cable. Most people buying this device would presumably want to use it as an external storage device, reputable manufacturer, simple to install on windoze systems, open the box, plug in, and use right away. Except it’s more than that. You get an external power supply and an SATA hard disk with USB interface as well as mini-USB cable.     I already had the WD elements 1 TB before i decided to get the 2TB. I must say that from my point of view WD is reliable. I´m sure there are people out there who disagree with me. But there always will be what ever you buy. However! This is my third WD and they are all still working, the oldest one is 3 years. I will keep purchase WD. Now to the negative things, cause there are some. First of all the WD is big. But i have to be fair and say that it´s not bigger then other in that price range. The size can be a problem if you don´t have a nice spot to put it on. My solution was to hide it ... more
