WD scorpio blue 500gb hard drive

Advantages: superfast service, very competitive price, excellent product (probably the best on the market now)
Disadvantages: none

recently i bought new hard drive for my dell inspiron 6400 from digital-fusion.co.uk. at first i wasn't sure if the new drive will be suitable for my laptop but reading previous reviews found that it is suitable. so decided to go for it and ordered WD scorpio blue 500gb hard drive, decision was supported by my brother who bought same hard drive a couple of weeks ago for his dell vostro 1500 and i was shocked by the speed and sillence of this drive as our old toshiba (120gb) drives where quite slow and noisy.with old drive i had 2.0 on windows 7 but with this new amazing WD drive i've got 5.8. ofcourse it's only my readings from windows 7 beta and my system is 1.6ghz dual core duo 2, 3gb ram, x1400 ati mobility video card. moreover want to add that my brother is getting same hard drive reading rate on his vostro windows 7 - 5.8 so i ...

Low power with high storage Drive

Advantages: Low power, Less heat, big storage
Disadvantages: Low RPM (Speed)

This internal drive is by far the most reliable and affordable storage drive in the market. I had TWO of these 500Gb drive for movie storage in my Home Theatre PC Rig. Features & Specs This drive is a Low Power consumption device. It saves around 40% less power requirements than any other drive. So customers who are so concious in energy saving should buy this product. This 3.5" drive uses SATA interface up to 3 Gb/second transfer rate with an average latency of 5 ms. The speed varies from 5400 to 7200 rpm at a 16 Mb cache. But in my opinion, this drive would more likely to run in 5400 rpm rather than 7200... So id like to correct a little so you guys wont be confused about the speed. So if you want to have more performance, you should find other types, for comparision, The WD Caviar Green is about 25% slower than other ...
