...Fairly decent hard-drive.
Western Digital are a well trusted company, especially for computer equipment. 250GB is a massive storage device, you could store ALOT and with low power consumption makes it even better. Looking at the prices too this is a real bargin! I really recommend this hard-drive, the real-time data protection will help if your computer ever shuts off. It is also a 2.5-inch hard-drive which usually associates with laptops, however there are some desktop computers which could use this. If you did want to buy this for a desktop computer but your computer could only use 3.5-inch then you could buy an external hard-drive shell which could plug straight into your computer OR laptop through USB or Firewire. Overall I think this is a very nice hard-drive and a good bargin at the price it's avaliable for....

Advantages: Fast, reliable and small Disadvantages: None
...The hard drive is meant to be used internally but I use mine as an external hard drive with an USB external enclosure. The drive might not be the fastest around but it is fast enough to use for those large files that makes life difficult. The fact that it uses SATA makes faster than IDE hard drives of the same size. The SATA also makes it very stable and up to date with the latest technology. I like the fact that you can buy it for such a low price as well. The only disadvantage I can think of is that when you damage the hard drive you won't be able to retrieve 250 GB of data. I hope this helps everyone who is thinking of buying one....

Advantages: Cheap, Sturdy, Reliable, Small, High RPM, Plug and Play Disadvantages: Lack of space
...I bought this drive to store all of my video and audio (I do a lot of Music Technology) on. It has a fantastic transfer speed and is structurally sound without any loose bits. The rubber around the bottom provides a very sturdy base and absorbs any mild shock that may occur to the device whilst it is in use. At times I actually find that it runs slightly faster and less jittery than my internal laptop hard drive during video playback. The only downside to this product is the size. It has only taken me around five months to occupy 60 gigabytes but it is perfect for mild use. I recommend this product to anyone wanting a reliable hard drive that will last for years and never let you down....

I am currently in the middle of an 'upgrade everything on my PC' phase, and the latest thing to get the treatment was the hard drive. I decided that I would get another hard drive and add it as a companion to the existing one to save messing around with... more
What is there to really say about hard disc drives? Well that depends on your audience I suspect.
Oh yes, yes it does.
If I were talking to a bunch of tech-heads (bless our geeky hearts), I would say this;
This is a standard SATAII device that... more
