THQ's WWE SmackDown! vs RAW is great wrestling game, but in this version of the game they did only few changes looking at the previous version of the game.
the graphics are like the previous version of the game but is improvement at some areas. like the crowd, and the sweaty body of the wrestlers looks a bit real.
The sound is fine. other than that, I think the commentary needs to be improved.
In this game when wrestlers get tired, you don't have to increase stamina by pressing select.... its auto.
The game also included the mix of ECW, which I like very much. As it has extreme dirty players and also extreme rules match. Weapons are given a little upgrade, specifically how you go about getting them from under the ring.
The biggest change in the game, as far I have seen is the new fighting styles of the players. Every wrestler is assigned there own styles. There are number of different types of these styles, including technical wrestlers, high flyers, brawlers, submission specialists, dirty fighters, showmen, and hardcore types.
The lighting effects, crowd graphics, and just the overall look have been also enhanced.
But I don't like the pin fall. After few strong punches or grapple moves you can easily be pinned. Also they need to upgrade the collusion matters, like when the wrestler go through the ring ropes or their body parts wrap through one another.
The match type and the modes are almost the same as last year. The story line is loosing its touch a bit. Although you still get the yearlong title hunt with one of the main superstars in the game or a created superstar. But the story is a bit hacked like version such as the voicemails might sometimes identify the wrong person as your rival. Some part seems little meaningless like taking part in some film roles, or interviews, or autograph signings.
Playing this game online is fun but there is lagging which spoils the fun. In online mode you can play up to 4 other opponents. The match can be either a ranked or unranked match, and you can also trade created wrestlers with other players.
There are lots of things to be improved, but overall, in my point of view playing this game is really fun when playing multiplayer along with your friends. Tech info:
