This is a great wrestling game, and I think any gamer who enjoys wrestling games will enjoy this one. Some people compare this game to HCTP and instantly say that it sucks. It is missing a few features that the old game has, but it has also approved.
Graphics The graphics this game holds are just awesome. It can be compared with any current game, and it will hold it's own. This is one of the best things in the game. Like HCTP, the people in the crowd actually move, and they're not just part of the background. A lot of moves have good graphics, but some could have been better. Benoit's crossface is still horribly animated, but the games graphics are good enough to ignore that small part of the game.
Gameplay There are a bunch of new things this game has to offer. I think that the new clean/dirty system is just great. Once you fill up this meter by doing moves the represent it, respectively, you build up your meter. Then when it fills up, you can taunt and gain a special ability. (Dirty gains a low blow move and Clean gains a burst of adrenaline.) Another new feature is only in the Royal Rumble. Now, you have a meter to determine when you can fall out of the ring. If it depletes, then you can fall out of the ring. The matches are much longer, but I think they are still fun. Most of the gameplay is still the same though, and is very similar to HCTP. Now you can play on line, and that certainly adds to this. People say this mode is very bad, but it is still online mode.
Sound This game has sweet music, like the old one. I can leave the game on and be typing this now, and listen to the nice music. Also, now we have voice overs, where the superstars actually talk. Some people don't like this, but I think it sounds pretty good. Something I really enjoy is that the announcers actually talk during the match. And it is really Tazz's, Cole's voices speaking. I think that's a great feature for the game.
Overall I'd have to say this game is a solid 9. There are some sweet new features but some nice old ones have been taken away. I'll start with the negative first, and then give you some positive.
Negs: - Only 4 titles in season mode; no Tag titles - CAW mode is supposedly not as well built as before. - Royal Rumbles last too long. - Online Mode can be very laggy and supposedly is nothing good. - Can't swap super stars on shows. - Only one CAW in the season mode at a time.
Positives: - Create a PPV - Create a title - First WWE game that can go online. - Clean/Dirty meters - Great Graphics - New match types: Tornado Tag Elimination Chamber
