Graphics OK
Sound Good - relevant music & effects
Difficulty & Complexity Quite a simple game not too complicated

Advantages: New controls system (the Wii Remote), taunts and wrestlers .

WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2008 on the Wii is a disappointment, to say the least. I myself am a WWE fan, but this game does not exactly fill me with excitement. Firstly, there are only 5 match types, while the PS3 and Xbox etc. get many more including Hell in a Cell and Ironman. Also, the lack of weapons is appalling. Take the Hardcore matches, for example. WWE has plenty of weapons, such as tables, ladders etc., and THQ only puts steel chairs in the Wii version. Disgraceful. On a more positive note, the controls are brilliant, swinging the Wii remote to perform moves on your opponent, though they do get a little frustrating at times. The commentary, however, is a little repetetive, with certain phrases being repeated 2-3 times during matches. The taunts are good, but do get boring after a while. Story Mode is so-so, starting at newcomer rank and making your way up to main event level. It is a little too easy though. Tournaments are poor, King of the Ring is easy and in Beat the Clock Sprint, you never know if the computer is cheating, unless you play as the last entrant. The character detail is sublime, unfortunately the crowd ruins it, as they look 2-D. Another thing is no weight detection. Fun at first, you can make Kelly Kelly tombstone Undertaker and make Rey Mysterio powerbomb The Great Khali, but makes the game look unrealistic.

My Overall Rating: 2 out of 5 Lack of weapons and match types make this game fun for a few weeks, but you will most likely trade it in after about 4-5 months, maybe less.
