Over the Hedge PS2 - A pretty average game

Advantages: Multiplayer
Disadvantages: Camera angles, animations, lack of checkpoints, voice acting.

When Over The Hedge was released in theatres in 2006, it became very popular with children and adults alike, and the reaction from viewers was mainly positive. The game, however, didn't get so lucky. In my opinion, games tend to lose some of their magic when they're based off a movie (with the exception of a few), and this was no exception. However, the game also had a few advantages and was nowhere near as bad as some of the latest low-quality games. It mainly followed the film's story-line, with a few extra twists to add to the gaming experience, so I don't think the game deserved the bad reputation that it got. When you start playing, you are put in control of a team of two animals. The player can decide who they would like their team to be, these are the options; RJ the racoon, Verne the turtle, Hammy the hamster or Stella the skunk ...

PS2 Slimline Review

Advantages: Less noise, less heat, better graphics, online capabilities
Disadvantages: Quite an old console. Better things out now.

capabilities that the original PS2 had and if anything the online actually works better. The noise output is a world of difference. The PS2 SL hardly makes any sound at all compared to the Original which makes playing much more enjoyable as you can actually hear the game. Graphics have been enhanced on the SL therefore making gameplay much more realistic and fun. I have had My PS2 SL for around 6 years now and it has been the most reliable console i have ever bought. I would highly recommend this console to anyone who is thinking of purchasing a PS2 and definately over the Original. ...

HAS THE PLAYSTATION 2 BEEN ON THE ATKINS DIET!

Advantages: Smaller, quieter, sleaker
Disadvantages: Two controllers instead of one would be nice

Maybe I?m showing my age here, but I remember one of the first games consoles there was, the Atari 2600, complete with its wood effect case and cartridge games! Since those bygone days many consoles have come and gone with battles being thought between the likes of Sega and Nintendo to be top dog in the world of video gaming. All that has passed before though is the mere under-card to the battle royal being fought here and now between Sony and Microsoft to be the undisputed king in the eyes of the joypad waggling generation with their Playstation 2 and Xbox consoles. When faced with the choice of buying one or t`other I came to the conclusion that although the Xbox was superior in graphics and potential exclusive games the PS2 was the only choice for the shear size of the back catalogue of games and strong support from third party ...
