Advantages: feels and looks good, customisable buttons Disadvantages: scratchy for some, buttons easy to click by mistake
The Wacom Bamboo One Pen is the stylus for Wacom Bamboo Graphics tablets, and unlike many graphic tablet pens, has hosts of extra features and functionality.
LOOK & FEEL
The stylus is a sleek, polished looking thing that sits comfortably in the hand and is a very similar size to a fountain pen. It sits well for use, but the buttons on the pen (see photo above) are a little too easy to click unintentionally, so make sure the pen stays at the same angle in the hand. The stylus is silver, with a gloss top half and matt bottom half, and the buttons lie a couple of centimetres from the nib itself.
The nib is white and a good size, small enough to lend accuracy but large enough not to be scratchy, and the stylus curves gently into the nib, which is a seperate piece of plastic. There is no clip on the stylus.

Advantages: Great software bundle, handles well Disadvantages: Possible installation glitches
Graphics tablets used to be the domain of professional artists and had high prices to match. One company, Wacom, above all others has helped promote the graphics tablet as a tool whilst reducing the prices to more consumer friendly levels. Wacom now produce a range of solutions to suit different markets and pockets. This review will centre on the Graphire 3 Studio which I bought some time ago but is worth looking out for on eBay etc.
Digital Media Bundle
The Graphire 3 Studio bundle consists of the tablet itself plus a clutch of very decent software titles. The A6 sized tablet looks smart and connects via a captive 1.5 metre USB cable. It features a 2000dpi tracking resolution and has 512 levels of pressure sensitivity. When used with graphics packages, the pressure is used to control how the pen draws. For instance, if you select ...
Advantages: Comfortable stylus, not bottom range but not top range either Disadvantages: Slight scratches on the surface of the tablet are visible after a lot of use
from the tablet whilst it is in range; this means that the stylus can be much more like a normal pen or pencil so it fits in your hand much better. Hovering 10mm above the surface is about the maximum range. Note that you don't have to touch the surface to move the cursor.
The WacomGraphire 3 Classic series is Wacoms mid-range tablet. I opted for the A6 version, which I have to admit I was a little worried about thinking it might be too small, but the difference in price between the A6 and A5 is rather significant (or at least it was when I got mine in 2004). After using the tablet for the past year I can honestly say I'm actually glad I didn't go for a larger tablet. To get the full benefit of using a tablet I have it set to "absolute positioning" mode this means that if I put my stylus on the top left of the tablets active area then ...

Manufacturer's product description
The Graphire Bluetooth Pen with Eraser makes it easy to sketch and write notes in Microsoft Office XP and Apple Inkwell. Mark up documents in Microsoft Word, annotate presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, and even jot a note to friends and family. This pen is pressure-sensitive so you can control the amount of a software tool's effect by varying how firmly you press the pen tip to the tablet. The pen is easy to use because every point on the tablet has a matching point on the screen. When you move your pen over the tablet the cursor moves in precisely the same way on the screen. Where you touch your pen tip to the tablet is where you click.
