to a very fine length (0.4mm), perfect for those super close cuts and very short fades when used with grading comb attatchments. The high quality steel is long lasting, extremely tough and fits straight onto the Envoy clipper. With a ready-lubricated contact pivot area the blade comes ready to go straight on.
Advantages: good shave, last well, and all the other things I say in the opinion Disadvantages: expensive
...I have sensitive skin and therefore alternate between wet and dry (electric) shaving.
Wet shaving has often been a problem for me, I tend to cut very easily and also get a rash from wet shaving. I am left with two choices; either grow a beard (not for me) or alternate between wet and dry shaving.
I first bought the Gillette mach 3 when I needed a new razor. I tend to try new ones in the hope that one day I will find a razor that will be better than anything I have tried in the past does.
To be honest I could not see how three blades could be better than two, once the beard has gone it has gone.
I am happy to be able to report that although these are expensive the results really are well worth it.
I compliment these blades by using a shaving gel rather than the ordinary foam. The gel tends to assist in moisturising the beard...

Advantages: Excellent close shave. Disadvantages: Bulky, and expensive blade replacement.

I personally shave 1-2 times a day with this and a single blade can last me 3-4 weeks before I feel it starting to scrape rather than cut. But, the cooling strip has long since worn out and is no longer effective making me wonder if I should change more frequently. On the plus side, when you do change that blade you really can feel the difference on your face the new blades have.
I have had my razor for over one year now and still have not changed the batteries so no need to worry on that account.
All in all an excellent razor, a little bulky for fine detail work and probably not really viable with people who have a lot of facial hair as it is hard to see where the blades start / stop when shaving....

Advantages: Close shave - easy to grip - each blade lasts a few weeks Disadvantages: expensive to buy replacement blades
...of ridges that making holding it with or without wet hands a breeze. The blades are attached to the end and hey presto, you are ready to shave.
What sets the Mach 3 Turbo apart from others in my opinion is the sharpness of the 3 blades that sit in rows across the razor head - they stay sharp for weeks and the moisurising strip that lifts hair before the razor cuts whilst at the same time leaving a fine layer of cream that sooths - It's as though the razor just glides through my beard and I rarely cut myself unless I am really clumsy and have my attention drawn away to other things.
Mach 3 Turbo gives me a close shave, doesn't cut my face to bits and the blades last a long time. Even though replacement blades are expensive they are well worth the money and are the best out there. I have just upgraded to the Mach 3 M3 Power Nitro (the...
